Massive US Navy Strike Group Heading Towards Korean Peninsul

Well, hopefully one of his crappy missiles doesn't get lucky for him and come down in a Japanese or South Korean city before it's all over.
Hopefully some of his staff will remember that this little fuck murdered his own family members for shits and giggles and takes him out.....creatively. That would be the best case scenario.

There's reasonably decent intel that the DPRK has plans to hit Hawaii with a nuke. And if they can mount a nuke on the bus for the Taepodong 2 then they can make good on that plan. As it stands they can readily use the Taepodong 2 to mount a sarin gas attack on anything in range.
Meaning that it's time to stop them before they talk themselves into attacking someone.

Funny you should say that...
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-north ... 7F0HJ?il=0I just saw that one a few minutes ago and wondered if it was worth posting.
It's a serious threat. With a payload of ~500kg on the Taepodong 2 that's a lot of dead people if the Norks drop sarin into Tokyo, Seoul, or Honolulu.

And therein lies the eternal question: are they really truly crazy enough to try that, or are there enough realists in the politburo to realize an attack like that would mean national suicide?

Prior to WW2 the prevailing wisdom of the leadership in both Japan and Germany was that the American public was soft and only concerned about creature comforts. They both thought that the way American manufacturers retooled their plants every year in order to produce new versions of their consumer products was wasteful and foolish.
They were wrong.
Americans mobilized for war faster than the Japanese and Germans imagined.
And the American industrial might that was so experienced at retooling didn't miss a beat as they retooled their factories from producing consumer products to war materiel. The result shocked the Germans and Japanese.
The North Koreans and their leadership are far more insular than were the Japanese and Germans and they'll believe whatever they want to believe.
They're very similar to the mindset of the people on this site who like to make shit up, falsely attribute it to other people, and then hate those people because of things that are wholly imaginary.
In short, the Norks will believe their propaganda about how their military is going to smash the West until they see the West smashing their cities and etc.

Good Lord, I hope not. If they do make the decision to attack anyone it'll be over rather quick I'm sure. Problem is that the idiot in charge there will be hiding somewhere safe while his own people perish.

My guess is that the biggest danger would be to back him into a corner, pretty sure if he knows he's going out, he'll try to go out in a blaze of glory... that is, launch everything he has.

Then that'll be the end of North Korea, won't it?

He is probably crazy enough to do just that.
Well, the word is that the USS Eisenhower and its full complement of escorts are now heading towards North Korea after completing an exercise this week.
That's two carriers.
When it gets to three then things will be in position to get serious. That'll be one carrier in the Sea Of Japan, one in the Yellow Sea, and another to stand ready to assist the other two.
Still need to hear about USAF assets being moved up. That hasn't happened yet.
Kim Jong-Un ‘orders IMMEDIATE EVACUATION of Pyongyang’ as tensions with US escalate
Reports in Russian newspaper Pravda Report claim more than 600,000 people - around 25 per cent of the city’s population - are being urgently evacuated, as tensions escalate between North Korea and the United States.......

Shit. Kadena AFB in Japan mobilized and they're conducting unplanned snap exercises. If Japan authorizes the US to hit NK from Japan then that means Japan is all-in, too.

Yup. The Japanese are sortieng their fleet. And not a few ships, either. Sounds like
eveything put to sea from what I just heard.
