I'm curious, does anyone have any evidence (video or photographic) of Molotov cocktails being used against the police? I keep hearing about it but not seeing it. I'm also not seeing any statements about how many cops went to the hospital for treatment of burn injuries.

In short, smells like BS to me.

Here's a link to some pics.

One example:

I don't know the site though, so I can't vouch for their authenticity completely.

Now me though...at present, and until somebody shows they're not the real thing related to Ferguson, I believe them.

I beleive it because it's the usual Mo for people who are drawn to situations like this hiding like cowards with the protesters destroying property, throwing molotov cockstails at the police.

@Fiddy, thanks! I had not seen any of that.

Seems to me those kids need some lessons in how to make proper, self-igniting Molotov cocktails.

Amateurs. Geez.

I wondering that myself. Good find on the pic NDog.

I was about to quip that the police were so well armoured that probably hadn't even felt the heat....

Helicopters were also shot at, one reason they closed the airspace.

So the kid commits a robbery and a short time later a cop sees him walking down the middle of the street (cop doesn't even know he's a suspect in a robbery) Cop asks him to get on the sidewalk, kid figures he's about to be arrested and starts wrestling with a cop and ends up getting shot. Funny how this unfolds after the evidence comes in.

Now the family is screaming saying the cop executed him for committing the robbery..

oh fuck let's hear Sharpton puke out some more bullshit.

If so, seriously kid, just act casual.

Another night of looting with the police not clamping down very hard. Might be smart...stand back for a bit and let the world watch the violence and lawlessness and let the protestors undermine the narrative the're putting out.

$1:
Anger spurred by the death of a black teenager shot by a white police officer boiled over again when protesters stormed into a Missouri convenience store — the same store that Michael Brown was accused of robbing.

Police and about 200 protesters clashed in Ferguson, Missouri late Friday after another tense day in the St. Louis suburb, a day that included authorities identifying the officer who fatally shot Brown on Aug. 9. At the same news conference in which officer Darren Wilson was named, Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson released documents alleging that Brown stole a $48.99 US box of cigars from the convenience store, then strong-armed a man on his way out.

Just before midnight, some people in what had been a large and rowdy but mostly well-behaved crowd broke into that same small store and began looting it, said Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson.

A protester holds up a sign during a peaceful demonstration as communities react to the shooting of Michael Brown in New York's Times Square on Thursday. Thousands of people across the U.S. on Thursday attended protest vigils for an unarmed black Missouri teenager fatally shot by a white police officer and other victims who organizers say died as a result of police brutality.

Some in the crowd began throwing rocks and other objects at police, Johnson said. One officer was hurt, but details on the injury were not immediately available.

Johnson said police backed off, hoping to ease the tension. No arrests were made.

The police can't just stand by and allow the criminals to loot the businesses of local taxpayers. That doesn't de-escalate anything, that encourages them. Look at how well disengaging worked with the criminal scum in Caledonia.

From the time we are little, we are constantly told, two wrongs don't make a right. Letting these assholes loot at will, without fear of police intervention or legal prosecution is definitely wrong.

Almost a damned if you do damned if you don't. The protestors are trying to define the narrative of the story, portraying themselves as victims. The footage of last night's looting undermines that. The police might be alright with that after the media beating they've taken trying to keep law and order.

andyt @ Sat Aug 16, 2014 7:29 am

Man, if this was a legitimate shooting, I sure hope they don't make the cop the sacrificial victim in order to assuage the built up anger. I he's deemed innocent, will it be another LA. This has got to weigh on the jury too. Anybody defending him will ask for a change of venue.

______
The store gentle Mike was caught robbing was trashed last night during the looting, these people want to act like savages then treat them like savages bring out the tear gas and rubber bullets. As for Michael Moore he's an opportunist who never lets a crisis go to waste.

This day-and-age of social media coverage all of the time works both ways. It puts the police under pretty constant public scrutiny but it also creates a record of the looters that can be drawn on for years after. Look at Canucks riot and the G8 riot in Toronto. Perpetrators have nowhere to hide anymore when everyone has a phone that makes videos. The police can't riot anymore, either without being eventually "outed".

Look what happened in the aftermath of the Vancouver riots, people were stupid enough to post their adventures on Facebook, Twitter while groups were created to single out these rioters.
