$1:
Just one Liberal MP voted with the government to support the motion: Tom Wappel.

Hip hip hooray
Hip hip hooray
Hip hip hooray

Mp Wappel has risen above crass petty politics. I hope his constituants respect and reward that.

I say bring on the election so the con's can get a majority and we don't have to deal with this liberal political bullshit, the last year has shown Canadians exactly why we got sick of such a pathetic liberal party in the first place, and Dion has basically put the final nail in the liberals coffin for their chance to get back into power anytime soon.

The liberals will have a great deal to answer for on this, Harpers olive branch was too little to late, and both sides stunk up the air waves with this bile.

Answer to whom?

Harper was the one who ran the ad smear campaign in Quebec calling Dion a 'vendu' which means sellout.

That m^ther f*cker had the cheek to appeal to Quebecers, telling them NOT to vote Liberal, because Dion had 'sold them' to the federalists!

Did he seriously expect Liberals to play his game?

Liberals will pay at polls: security
$1:
Mr. Cotler told reporters "polarization and politicization" in recent days prevented a potential compromise that could have allowed a short-term extension of the measures to give Parliament time for a comprehensive reform of the terrorist laws.

After the vote, Prime Minister Stephen Harper berated the Liberals for choosing "internal caucus politics over the national security of Canadians."

"Any party that doesn't take the national security of Canadians seriously will never be chosen by Canadians to form the government of Canada," he said outside the Commons.

It wouldn't surprise me if many Canadians even know what this bill stated or even what it was about. Instead you have the politicians using words like liberties and rights to try and make it sound like this bill was taking away so much freedom from Canadians it must be stopped. Then you have the government trying to make it sound this bill was almost too necessary for security and if removed the country will become overrun with terrorists.

Both sides of the house have played on this far too much and are now trying to turn this into some kind of an election issue. If the liberals really cared about freedom and liberties then you think they would put more effort into getting an elected senate directly chosen by the people which so far I haven’t seen much effort from them or trying to get their own senators onboard. If the government really cared about security it would hurry up with placing in more border guards and arming them as well as putting more resources across the country and measures in place at our especially vulnerable air and sea ports.

But instead of working on these issues we have the government and the opposition attacking each other in child like exchanges and rhetoric that does nothing but waste Canadians time and hard earned tax dollars to fund their impudence.
