I lol'ed.

   

Wait until one of the tapes from her trip to Vegas (probably featuring four black guys and a couple of big bags of Bolivian Gold in open view on the hotel room night stand) finally makes an appearance. These things are supposed to stay in Vegas? Not this time sweetheart. And welcome to the big leagues.

   

Wow. That's fair and open-minded of you. She must have had an orgy with 4 black guys (why black? Is it because it increases the shock factor for you) and done tons of drugs.

Its a good think she is good locking and not unattractive like so many say about Elizabeth May. Then you guys would be laughing at that too.

   

Think what you want about what I'm thinking, dude. All I know is that the current antics of the NDP are providing me with more free laughs right now than anything else I can think of.

And, yes, I've always got some spare time to crack some more Elizabeth May (MP - Saanich/Gulf Islands/Hezbollah) jokes too.

   

How is what you do to the NDP/Lbs/Greens any different then the worst political partisan ship AND the same thing you rail against the Republicans for doing in the US?

   

Because the way you Canadian left-wingers treat Prime Minister Harper is the exact same silly and disgusting way that American right-wingers treat President Obama. And I'll have none of it from either side.

If you hate bullies, liars, fearmongerers, and slanderers (i.e. our regular daily dose of "HarperHitler's hidden fascist agenda" that the Canadian left-wing indulges in) as much as I do then it really isn't all that difficult to understand.

   

I don't see the big deal. She's a single mom working in tough service sector jobs. That makes her more qualified than 90% of the never-had-a-real-job Liberal and Conservative fat cats out there as far as I'm concerned.

   

"Bar babe" counts as a real job these days?

Gee. Elizabeth May has been jumped on and her personal appearance disparaged (in a way no man would be attacked for....)

Layton gets called Taliban Jack for nothing more then wanting the troops home.

We CONSTANTLY hear about how the NDP will bankrupt the country.

I'm sure you have some high-falutin' job and you can laugh at her, but she's a single mom raising a kid with what seems likely to be a relatively low-paying service sector job.

Like I said, in my book, that makes her more capable that most of the fat-ass old white guys slouching towards Parliament right now.

But...this story is far from over and it's not going to be pretty, although she certainly is.

This will be increasingly more embarrassing for the NDP, and it's their own fault.

No, far from over, I'm sure. But frankly, I don't see the big difference between her and a bunch of other parachute candidates. Look at Jim Hillyer, Lethbridge Alberta, dubbed The Man Who Wasn't There. He also advertised himself as

Not really that different from the NDP case--absentee candidate, inflated resume. But of course for the Conservatives to consider that would require some capacity for self-reflection.

It's OK now though. Mr. Hillyer's campaign manager said that he is currently moving to Ottawa and may be able to do interviews in "a few weeks."
