Loretta Lynn dead at age 90

   

She was one of my favourite country singers. Times that I get into country mode with a playlist some of her songs are always included.

'Murder She Wrote' actress Angela Lansbury dies at 96

NEW YORK - Angela Lansbury, the big-eyed, scene-stealing British actress who kicked up her heels in the Broadway musicals "Mame" and "Gypsy" and solved endless murders as crime novelist Jessica Fletcher in the long-running TV series "Murder, She Wrote," has died. She was 96.
Lansbury died Tuesday at her home in Los Angeles, according to a statement from her three children. She died five days shy of her 97th birthday.

Lansbury won five Tony Awards for her Broadway performances and a lifetime achievement award. She earned Academy Award nominations as supporting actress for two of her first three films, "Gaslight" (1945) and "The Picture of Dorian Gray" (1946), and was nominated again in 1962 for "The Manchurian Candidate" and her deadly portrayal of a Communist agent and the title character's mother.

Sad, but a long life well lived. RIP.

   

But if she was murdered there's no one around anymore capable of solving the case. JK, RIP ma'am.

Robbie Coltrane, Hagrid actor from ‘Harry Potter’ movies, dies at 72

Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane, who played a crime-solving psychologist on TV series Cracker and the beloved half-giant Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies, has died.

He was 72.

Coltrane’s agent Belinda Wright said he died Friday at a hospital in Scotland. She did not provide a cause.

Wow. I didn’t realize he was still alive. One hell of a career and one hell of a pioneer. His personal life on the other hand….

Still. RIP to a legend of rock n’ roll.

   

Heaven gets Jerry Lee who despite all his hijinks was really just a harmless good ol' boy. Hell gets Jerry Lee's idiot two-face hypocrite Bible-punching cousin Jimmy Swaggart, who actually did cause a lot of harm punching down from the pulpit on anyone who doesn't meet the insane purity standards of the right-wing haters, all so the money from the easily terrified could keep flowing into church coffers, i.e. Jimmy's personal bank accounts. All in all Hell gets the worst part of the deal, IMO.

And here's hoping Dennis Quaid shows up at the funeral to give one hell of a eulogy to the old hell-raiser.

   

Darn we are losing a lot of people this year! RIP
