Nova Scotia may be different but I'd second this description of BC.
We have very low unemployment figures and a large number of healthy folks who beg for a living. They may do this because their lazy, misguided, or they actually make more money with a combination of EI scan and begging. There are also people with mental issues and definately drug addiction but there is only so much the state can do to help them.

Coralling them just moves the problem, and we simply can't pay them to stop so I think we should ban it. I believe that's what New York did and our cities are getting that run down.

I don't think most people have a problem with French Canadians per say, the ones in New Brunswick and Manitoba are all very pleasant people, never met a bad apple in the bunch.

It's certain Quebec'ers that most folks loathe.
