Got the title wrong but this pisses me off and I wish we would just let this damned thing die just like wailing.

If that's true it's innapropriate. Athletes shouldn't be used for political means.

Completely agree. And for Parliment to be pushing it, for shame.

Athletes shouldn't but the olympics always has been used for politics though.

Well then what they should do is hand our seal skin winter jackets to all attending nations  and conviently loose their lugage at the airport. Air Canada can take care of that part, they seem to be good at it.

Especially Olympians, the olympics are supposed to be non-Biased, non-pollitical yada, yada, yada.... Of course we all know they haven't been that way since.... well forever

I don't agree with there methods but I like that they are trying. This seal ban is completly idiotic. It's the EU government giving in to the demands of there civilians and there civilians went on youtube, saw a guy clubbing a seal on the ice and deemed all Canadians inhumane.

I mean look at PETAs comments to this.

"But one of the hunt's most implacable foes, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), welcomed the MPs' motion with open arms.

"We feel it's perfect because it shows how completely out of touch the Canadian government is with the rest of the world," said PETA spokeswoman Kristie Phelps. "It would be extremely appropriate for Canada's Olympic uniform to wear the country's heartlessness right on its sleeve.""

We are all heartless because we allow FISHERMAN to hunt seals for products. Just like fish, etc. PETA is focusing on this one thing while ignoring all other animal abuses that are FAR more inhumane. Like Spains Bull fighting. They torture those bulls to get them angry than I believe they stab them to slow them down during the competition. If the bull fails than they kill it. Yeah wheres EU's ban of this? Wheres PETA's international protest of this? There all hypocrites. Have no right of lecturing Canada unti'll they clean up there own backyard.

I wonder why no one complains about the Alaskan crab fishery. Hell they make discovery shows about it. They kill those things by dropping them in boiling water. Sounds cruel to me. I guess they're not cute.

What about the Geoducks off of Washington and BC many of those live to be 100 years old. They are cooked by prying open the shell and cutting them out while they are still alive. Again not a cute animal.
NSFW?

There was a Dirty Jobs show on this.
I've never ate this, didn't know they existed before seeing the show.
I would like to try it though.

***I'll try anything once. I've eaten turtle, snake, chocolate covered ants, fried grasshoppers and jellyfish.

That's disgusting, I'd never eat that thing. I'd never even want to look at it. It's like a giantic worm in a shell.

Looks like a giant soft-shell clam, probably has a similar taste... I'd imagine it'd be pretty damned rubbery.

This would not be appropriate. I'm sure there are some Olympians that would refuse based on their own beliefs.
