People injured in explosions near Boston Marathon finish lin

The more time goes on without anybody taking responsibility for this, the more I'm starting to think that this was done by somebody without much of an agenda... a crazy who decided to do it for kicks and giggles.

Those traintrack explosions in AZ, I don't think anybody took responsiblity for them. I think it was the Oklahoma bombers doing practice runs or something. I'm not sure anybody too responsibilty for the Oklahoma bombing.
Closer to home, I don't recall anybody claiming responsibilty for the Air India bombing. A lot of terrorists know the message is sent even if they say nothing, and it makes them harder to track down.
In this case I can't for the life of me think what the message is supposed to be. But you know, if we find him, let's shoot the messenger.

2nd victim is a young woman. Krystle M. Campbell, a 29-year-old originally from Medford, Mass. Not sure if these are worse off, or the people that will be maimed for life.
Quick Question: If you were injured in the blast who pays your medical bills?
Does the state pay the hospital?
Do insurance companies not have info in their terms stating that acts of war and terror are not covered by insurance?
What if you didn't have insurance or you were maybe a healthy Canadian who didn't bother to buy out-of country insurance?
Lets say you lost a leg and cannot work anymore, even if you have decent medical insurance against such tragedies do the terms and conditions (war/terror) make it hard for these people to get insurance or government help and an income for the rest of their lives?
Just wondering, it sounds like some of those injuries are pretty devastating.

The device is leading a lot of people to conclude that the terrorist is a muslim and is someone who was likely trained in the ME. The FBI right now has a BOLO for a Middle Eastern man who was seen trying to access a restricted area at the marathon just minutes before the detonations.
It's starting to look like an organized act that likely involved multiple players, not just one.
Definitely two people had to be involved in the deployment and there were probably two others including someone on the triggers and most likely a driver. Just because that's how these things tend to work in the sandbox.

Shoot em? I was thinking more string him up by the nuts, but if that falls through, sure, shoot him.
BTW the message is terror.

Victims of violent crimes generally have their medical bills covered by state and Federal compensation funds. I also expect that the survivors will shortly be overwhelmed with private donations to help them recover from their injuries.
http://www.mass.gov/ago/public-safety/r ... ation.htmlAnd I simply cannot imagine an insurance company declining coverage to a victim at a time like this as that's a sure way to incur the wrath of many layers of government.

Lets hope so.
Lets just hope they do not have to worry about things like that. Not now, and not in a year from now...

Yeah I'm having a hard time buying the "lone-wolf" idea, since there were two bombs set off, a third possibly detonated by the police soon after it was discovered (unless this changed) and it just seems a bit overly complicated for just one man. Wouldn't it be easier to have one large device instead of 2-3 smaller ones in different locations?

The third device story has since been dismissed. The only two devices found were the two that exploded.

Ah, alright, well still. It seems a bit complicated for a "lone-wolf" to take the extra risk to deploy two bombs instead of just one larger bomb, especially if it was true that the device was put into position not long before the explosion.

My entirely-uninformed and amateur opinion is that this is similar to the Times Square bombing attempt; someone acting alone with outside advice. That attempt even used a pressure cooker.

And the 'outside advice' could just be the internet.
