I doubt Afghan dirt farmers tend to use a 'heart' to suggest love.

Good stereotyping though even though there is as much a chance as this being domestic.

His logic, US logic...pretty much every human beings logic.

Why is everybody so afraid to admit the truth? Yes, me and mine are more important, to me, then you and yours. What was so hard about that? Why is honesty, especially emotional honesty, so damn hard for people to admit?

For the record, there is many a dead child in Afghanistan that suffered the wrath of US bombs for no reason other then the misfortune of being born in Afghanistan.

Many dead Brits due to US inaction.

I could go on, but really, the list for every individual country is so long that it would be pointless.

Does it suck? You bet.

So, Batsy, you will not receive any neg reps from me. I may not like your view, but I understand it.

Fair enough. Most humans will wait till the corpses are cold before hopping on their soap box to pontificate though.

Huh. A report that a letter sent to the senator of Mississippi tested positive for ricine.

Kindly do a little research before posting these rants, m'kay? Thanks. [B-o]

Remind yourself of this when SCOTUS or the other courts toss out almost all of the post-Newton gun control laws, which they do on a regular basis.

Really?

Wow. Sorry for trying to show a bit more of a positive message than all the random "left wing did it" "right wing did it" "Finally, now Boston knows how it feels to be bombed too, karma for supporting the IRA" and all the other crap I have read.
We don't know yet. Simple.

Photoshopped or not...

To Boston, from me, with love.

Uh, Brenda, the gift to Boston was the bombs. What do you think this meant?

Wow. So many pages to catch up on in here since last night.

Some informative links provided by some members.

Some comments that can only be described as completely tasteless and unnecessary (to say the very least) by others. Sad, but to be expected around here when such events occur.

There is still nowhere and no one to definitively lay the blame on for this tragic event that has shocked us all. I hope that the person(s) responsible can be determined soon so that blame can be focused where it belongs.

Public_Domain Public_Domain:
Can't help but agree Shep.

We can always champion our humanity. Maybe it's a bit sad that we are so taken back and surprised by people simply wanting to help each other during chaos.

But then, after the chaos, all of us are untrustworthy. Each escalation brings about a greater and greater disconnect. We ink further and further to the point that we really don't see those who we must present ourselves to and prove innocence to. We become a guilty party by mere existence;

We are equal to the terrorists... for our own protection.

But really, and I'm not going to make any suggestions, what's left to take? I'm not interested in CCTV cameras. Already there's apparently massive abuse of some law in Canada that dictates that we're supposed to know who controls whatever camera is recording us. That information is almost never posted. Stores are supposed to have signs that basically work like Terms and Conditions, saying that they have cameras. No one does that. So I have no interest in more unaccounted for Gov Corp cameras littering the streets.

What law would that be on CCTV? I think you listen too closely to your peers who repeat crap often enough to believe it.

There is no law against making video of persons in a public place or a private building. Some places post notices advising you that you are being recorded. People routinely video police on traffic stops or in their businesses/homes. Everytime our guys turn up to a bar fight/disturbance, 10+ iPhones are recording our every move.

I think CCTV on every street corner is preferable to those street corners being armed checkpoints.

I'm already well tired of taking off my shoes at the airport because one crazy fuck had bang in his shoes 7 years ago. Politicians will chunk away at our freedoms and we will line up in meaningless/ineffective security checks in airports that are run by minimum-wage security staff that can barely speak English.

There has to be a better way than what the sales-guys will do to respond to the ever present and growing threat that these fucks pose to our society.
