Then my personal recommendation is to remove the firing pin and place it in a safe place so that the rifle is disabled. Firing this rifle when it is not in satisfactory condition would be extremely dangerous. The bolt on the G98 is infamous for coming loose during firing and removing cheekbones and ears.

Still, pop out the firing pin just to make sure the rifle is inoperable.

yeah, rub it in will you..

The police are playing a dangerous game here, if they make a mistake they could well be facing a "lethal" response from the home owner.

I know if anyone busted in my door there is a chance they could be eating lead....just like the case in Quebec where the police used a dynamic entry and the home owner opened up thinking he was undergoing a home invasion.

dangerous game. Got one officer killed and another shot!

funny you mentioned that...i kind of "flamed" on that post stating that its good the cop did get killed and got my face tore off every which way...when cops kick in a door where no drugs are present it only happens because the cops had no proof to get a valid warrant and rest assured the warrant they did get was obtained by lying to the judge..now after they trash the house, assault the occupants and handcuff them even though theyre completely innocent what do you think the cops do? apologize? not a fricking chance..i'll provide a link(or at least try) where these cops took advantage of the fact these were immigrants and tried to talk them into signing a document while handcuffed(for the purpose of intimidation) to waive any complaints against them http://md.mpp.org/site/c.deIGLMOtGpF/b. ... 7D&notoc=1

Having been on the receiving end of this sorta thing. The best tactic is to not resist, keep a cool head and wait. You will have your opportunity (mine came after about 4 hours) and then, when the penny drops enjoy the leverage.
