the saving grace is these ppl are americans...so they can sue the piss out of the police dept...and even then it comes out of Phe pockets of tax-payers..so no one important

mistakes like this shouldnt happen..i expect cops to completely have their act together before they actually kick down a door

That was just very badly done. They did all that before realising they went to the wrong house. Man, that guy that got kicked in the balls would have been seriously pissed off.
And another thing
$1:
When officers and the city's tactical squad went to the right unit, they said it was empty.
Well of course it was going to be empty, with all the noise they made breaking into the wrong house, the criminals probably had more than enough time to pack up a few things before running away.

well what you need to understand is when this sort of thing happens its because police wanted a "shortcut"..in other words they didnt have enough evidence to do it properly..they mayve been warm but they werent hot

i did a little extra reading about this...as it seems the police tried to get the couple to sign a document after they discovered they made a mistake..was going to use their being immigrants from el salvador and not speaking fluent english to their advantage i guess..however they refused to sign it

You cannot defend such mistakes otherwise you are giving police the ability to become common killers . These are people with weapons and the ability to kill, give them that right and they will use it to its full extent . Its not a liberal approach to what happened , its a reality which has to be dealt with in the worst way . Why would anyone defend such actions unless they watch and play far too many video games .

actually banff i'm very disappointed...i was so sure some cop groupies would rise to the task and tear a strip out of me for taking this stand..but getting back to what i said before...police MUST investigate before they even think about kicking a door down

Thats why I didn't direct my opinion on you . Cop groupies need to be attacked from every angle when they try to support arrogant and stupid actions otherwise they condone police becoming the killer rather than the defender .
