Obviously allowed to enter US airspace. We have the capability to intercept them, so the US could do the same 10 fold.

Perhaps it's time for the West to start flexing their muscle - I know we don't spend what we should, but combined NATO far outspends Russia and all the other troublemakers.

Russia's lack of numbers against NATO is more than made up by its political will. NATO is politically weak and a shadow of its Cold War self. It will do nothing.

Seeing as no member the UN council has accepted the legitimacy of the Crimea annexation, I think it is fair to say that any resolution would need to include the acceptance of Ukraine's territorial integrity, which I don't believe Putin will accept.
So either he is setting up the optics to look like the "good guy", or he is genuinely looking for a ceasefire.
Thus far, nothing he has done seems genuine.
