Tragic.
Sounds like the outcome some people on these forums call for.
Anyone out there supporting this?

I sure hope the kid didn't die. It doesn't say, unless I misread?
I hope the 3 year old will grow over it and later in life, will not have any recollection (sp). Dad should get locked up for a while, kid too, and both need counseling. They all have a loooong road ahead...

If the father is being charged with murder, then I'd say the kid died.

Duhhh, second paragraph
Thank you

Dad should get locked up a little while longer...
What is a shame here is I believe the father went too far. The son showed remorse and asked for help which means there was still a chance. He could have had help through counselling to turn him away from his path or at least to teach him to control his urges.
What the kid did was wrong but he didn't deserve to be executed.

I wouldn't want to see another father have to take these measures.. for the father's sake.
Am I sorry a child molester died? No.
Am I sorry that the little girl's mom can look her daughter in the eye and tell her that she can guarantee that he will never do that to her again? No.
I don't know if that's support, per se, but that's what came to mind at first thought.

Why did you have someone in mind?
It's a terrible situation can you imagine what the rest of the family has to deal with?
If the kid expressed remorse right after the act or after he found out he'd been caught is an important factor. People say that the perps deserve a second chance, something the victims will never have the opportunity to ask for.

Typically, there is a small mob that bays for this very outcome. I'm just curious to see if they show to show support for the father.

Very sad,
The kid may have shown remorse but there will never be a second chance for the little girl.
He should have been turned into the authorities for rehab and punishment.

He should have asked for the counseling
before he touched that little girl. Begging forgiveness after is worthless.
The sad thing is that these sexual predators get more counseling services and support than their victims do.....and then they re offend.

I would agree but when we kill people we become murderers all on our own. Killing a man in defense will still get you charged with murder.
There is a heap of social science studies that show capital punishment does little to nothing to deter crime. Sadly I wish it was as simple as harshly punishing offenders to end crime but it's not.
It's better to do our best to help a man who repents then to bloody our hands. I stand by that moral.
