The use of the word deplorable by certain people is used against ALL conservatives thus it gets treated the same as the terms racist/sexist/homophobe/misogynist.

As does the newest bastardization, 'progressive'. I have left leaning tendencies, I have right leaning tendencies. I have Libertarian and Anarchist tendencies. All pejoratives I somehow see as directed at me, even if they aren't.
