So true. The second link's last story shows how criminals will still shoot you even after you comply. Seems some would rather be a victim then stand up for themselves.

The guards were, IF I remember correctly and I might not, taken out (shoot) early on. Please notice I said legally armed citizen I was not meaning guards but actual club goers. Though I can also see cause NOT to allow club goers to carry. Alcohol and Guns do not mix well.

   

The more citizens are likely to be armed, the more likely it will be that the criminals will shoot, not just hold guns to heads. It just becomes an arms race. Certainly the lax gun laws in the US have not prevented gun carnage that is far out front of any other "civilized" countries.

Would you just threaten somebody with a gun if you plan to shoot them anyway? Why? If you think your opponent is armed and will shoot if given a chance, shoot them first, no?

   

The problem with your 'reasoning' is that in EVERY jurisdiction in the US where gun controls have been removed so people can carry the crime rates have GONE DOWN.

The most dangerous places in the US are those remaining places where gun control is still the order of the day.
