Ok, so you can be a smarmy little worm and ask reidiculous questions. Both you you can. Good for you, and I'm not going to type the same things a thousand times, keep up with the conversation or don't join in at all.
I don't see how Prescott=George. Count the sins of the father and we're all guilty as hell so instead of trying to find pathetic character flaws in President Bush let alone his family, try providing a real reason why we should leave. I've still yet to read one.
O.K. As far as why we should leave is I believe the apple does not fall far from the tree in this respect. The wealthy elite covered for Prescott for the remainder of his life as I believe they will cover George in his execution of his own citizens on 911 to further his economic and imperial goals.... He should not only get out of Iraq. He should suffer the same conclusion as his grandaddy! If he had any empathy at all he would hang his head in shame. Don't think I'm the only one that beleives this. This written by Cheney, Wolfowitz and the boys as follows...
A think tank called the Project for the New American Century, headed by people like Dick Cheney, revealed the thinking behind 9.11.
"The PNAC program, in a nutshell: America’s military must rule out even the possibility of a serious global or regional challenger anywhere in the world. The regime of Saddam Hussein must be toppled immediately, by U.S. force if necessary. And the entire Middle East must be reordered according to an American plan. PNAC’s most important study notes that selling this plan to the American people will likely take a long time, "absent some catastrophic catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor
And since being a sociopath is hereditary...Well...This has nothing to do with democracy obviously..
Right, because an honest person wouldn't have the idea that the Middle East is a problem region. Sure, it's been attacking Europe for the last 1100 years, but whatever.
And we should doom millions of Iraqis and their children to death, torture and suffering because the Bush family has a blackmark in its history? I guess that means every American troop in there right now is a real SOB too. They couldn't possibly mean to do any good, and it of course means that despite them arming the Iraqi citizens and training them to defend themselves while steadily reducing troop numbers over the past few years that really, President Bush is planning to use the souls of Iraqi children to power his tanks once the other nations he'll invade cut off his oil.
I think you very much misunderstand my points. First of all I think americans are humans. I love all humans. The "Bush administration and all the neocons" is a lot to write every sentence. I have been saying Americans. But you voted for him and under a democracy I paint you with a broad brush. I do not harbour ill will to your people, the troops, or even the republicans even though I disagree with them. But Bush I see as a bad human and you should do something about him before he gets a great many people killed. This means a great deal to me. Terrorism is a smokescreen for world domination and empire building and has nothing at all to do with democracy and saving children. If I could take anything at face value that Bush says I would believe as you appear to believe(not making assumptions). I would think Saddam is butchering his people and we have to stop him. But it has little or nothing to do with that. Bush admitted Iraq had no weapons of mass destrution which means he lied and lost credibility. At that point I began looking at him with the eyes of a skeptic. It's then that you see the flaws.
If a conquering army goes into a country they always ally themselves with someone who can help them. For instance, Negroponte and his death squads against the Sandanitas.
Arming a people does not make them good. Might is right is not a good way to be and certainly not "the end justifies the means" even though it is a commonly used U.S. marine saying. That having been said. The real reason "besides oil" is he wants a military prescence in the region to further the empire. One may say, good, they're spreading democracy. But at what cost, honesty, deception of their own people. I would like to look at the states as a friend because i've read the U.S. constitution and it is beautiful but is not practiced by the government and is therefore a lie.
Ok, again, nothing but broad accusations based on your personal feelings. You've yet to say "I don't trust George Bush because _____" and say something about him that isn't pure speculation, or about his family.
Bush admitted he was wrong and that makes him a liar? What?! No, he'd be a liar if he faked it.
And when did I say I was an American? All you seem to be capable of is categorization. I'm a Canadian, and a proud Canadian at that. So yes, you do paint with a broad brush, and a very heavily diluted water based paint.
As for the military presence, yeah, the Middle East has been a security problem for a really long time. Sounds like a good plan to me.
Actually commonsense, prescott bush was involved in a bank that bankrolled both hitler and his war machine during ww2.
If I recall correctly assets of that bank were frozen when the duplicity of prescott bush and his cronies was found out, under a bill that forbade and punished trading with the enemy, I think it was sometime in 1942-43.
The above information can easily be confirmed if one so desires to do so.
Seeing as ethics and morals are best learned from our parents, GHWBush, and his son GWBush having similar if not indenticle patterns is not that great a leap.
That anyone with that sort of familial background would do anything possible to further their own interests should not come as any great surprise either.
That Saddam was a butchering bastard is not in dispute. If any grounds was valid for invasion it was his own treatment of his fellow Iraqis.
That he had WMD's at one time is a fact because he used them on the Kurds.
That he had them immediately prior to Gulf war 2 is not proven.
Fabricating false intel to promote a war only validates the viewpoints of those who are against it.
The fact is that as far as Bush and his band of thieves are concerned it's petroleum first, people whatever.
The sooner the universe is rid of Bush and his buddies the better things will be for all of us.

"and the knowledge they fear is a weapon to be used against them"
"The Weapon" - Rush
If you're not an American, you really should be. Maybe we should trade you for three draft dodgers . And george LIED about weapons of mass destruction, he LIED about chemical weapons. He LIED about Saddam trying to aquire yellow cake and the survielance planes that turned out to be model aircraft. Don't say it was bad intel because these were disproven on television before the conflict. Over gung-ho patriotism is the problem with the world today. This is why people like Hitler rise to power in the first place. And it never occurs to them until they're standing amongst the smoking ruins of their empire when all the propaganda sounds have died away...
You said: "Christians and Jews all over the world who have one less tyrant funding terrorists"
Is that true, ot not?
* I believe Christians in Iraq had more religious freedoms under the Baath regime than the have now.
* I believe Saddam Hussain may have been a tyrant (and the court case is still ongoing so it is sub judice) but he did not fund terrorists.
That's where many people mistakenly draw a line between Afghanistan and Iraq.
And by the way, by far the most Jews in the world live in the United States.
No, Hitler rose to power because he created an invisible enemy in the Jews; he was able to convince his people that they were evil with little or no evidence. He created a scapegoat. Comparing people to Hitler is a ridiculous practice, but fitting for you.
And as for continuing the sins of the father argument, from now on I'll only answer socialist arguments by saying that the children on drug users and criminals are beyond hope, and are destined for a similar life. In fact, we should cleanse such people, as they will inevitably be evil in the future. Sterilize the poor and the criminals, and wipe their seed from the earth.
And that I should be an American because I don't agree with you. Sounds like you really understand this "tossed salad, cultural mosaic" thing. Also sounds like something the old German socialist party would say.
He didn't lie, and he didn't conceal anything. Just because you say it enough doesn't make it so, you know. He didn't wait when he had a reasonable suspicion a terrible man was doing a terrible thing. He realized that if he was wrong, worst case scenario is what we have right now, millions of free Iraqis, a focus for terrorists away from America (and a higher priority), new allies in the war on terror, and a loss of popularity.
Ok, it is true. Just because he didn't fund 9/11 doesn't mean he doesn't fund terrorists.
Get a biography on Saddam and after you do, try looking in a mirror and saying he himself was not a terrorist with a straight face. He really did pay people to kill Jews in Israel, he really did slaughter and torture his own people mercilessly, and he really was asked for help by the terrorists behind 9/11. I don't think they asked every world leader for help...probably only the ones they thought might help.
And just because Jews do safely live in the United States doesn't mean we shouldn't try to make other places safe for them too.
And right now in Iraq isn't of paramount importance, it's where it ends up. No country sees its best days during the revolution. And yes, right now Christians aren't safe in Iraq, but neither are Muslims. No one is, and that's what's being worked on presently by the American troops.
Your reasoning is frightening: A cultural mosaic is a good thing. All people have good in them and you don't have to look far to see it.
No. "Bush" rose to power because he created an invisible enemy in the "terrorists". He was able to convince his people that they were evil with little or no evidence. He created a scapegoat. Sound familiar. (Reichstag), (twin towers). You would think he could at least be original.
Yeah, that's right
A scapegoat for America's unprecedented economic success, he definitely needed to dodge responsibility for that...
As for your cultural mosaic thing, you really ought to read things twice before you respond. You've got this thing where you really, REALLY miss the point.
I didn't miss the point. It's your all around blind following of the right. You are completly dumbed down by corporate media. Your blind faith and others like you in our Government will be the downfall of democracy. You are led with half truths and downright lies because you lack the mental capacity to research beyond propaganda. You think its patriotic to go to war when your betters command. And I do mean YOUR betters. War is the province of the rich elite because there is money to be made. You may think it is good to go to war and kill. I,ve got news for you. There is no freedom in Afganistan and now the warlords rule their people much like the Taliban did. You seem to think it's better in Iraq under shia rule but it will eventually end up exactly like Iran. Democratically elected but still a threat. Not really a threat but to guys like you it would be because of your imbicilic tendency to believe anything the corpoprate media spews.
You have my pity.
"being worked on"..... Give me a break.
No, I really don't think you do.
You can say all you want about me, but at the end of the day you ran out of legitimate arguments long ago and are depending on unsubstantiated attacks on my character. And yes, my betters do include the likes of Patton, yours include the likes of Chong.
Really, you're awful at insulting people so just stop trying. Instead, try addressing the issue. Instead of calling people sheep, try using e-v-i-d-e-n-c-e. You know, real life stuff that's happened, instead of some BS idea about the corporate media and how somehow you have this uncompromisable and honest new source that the rest of you and the other enlightened people have (my intuition says it's the CBC).
So yeah you can't defeat an idea by attacking those who hold it. Hopefully you learned a valuable lesson today.
