I am stund that CSI is not there, it is a great show and its getting all the hardware, to go with it.

AdamNF @ Sun Feb 22, 2004 10:10 am

The first season of CSI was good, but now its just lame.

karra @ Sun Feb 22, 2004 12:33 pm

CSI has another coming this fall I believe, CSI New Yawk.

All the technology used in CSI is what's available. I don't think there's a police department on earth that has all of that. Expense of equipment and manpower/training et al being the main reasons. The shows consultant who left LAPD to work CSI and has been frequently pressured to depart from the reality. She resisted, resulting in a couple of shows that command huge audiences.

Am I the only one out here that can't stand David Carruso? Most of my female friends think he's so cute, and can't understand that I don't. Besides the fact the guy can't act and spends most of his time posing with hands on hips wearing sunglasses so people can't see him looking at himself. Yuk!

i like csi las vegas but the miami one is just lame. i think it is grisam that makes the show interesting. the other ones don't have the grisam-like character (if they did it wouldn't be good cuz it'd be too much like the las vegas one)

who is david caruso?

karra @ Sun Feb 22, 2004 12:56 pm

He's the ginger-haired git on Miami who couldn't act his way out of a wet SAQ. All my girlfriends call him a 'hunk' and here I thought that word was only used in the Philippines. Why if Celine (the free range poulet) was single, I'd go to lengths to introduce them - for a small fee of course.

david caruso was in the first season on NYPD blue, i like him.

Indelible @ Sun Feb 22, 2004 1:34 pm

karra karra:
Coronation Street

I love that show
I refuse to watch any kind of daytime Soap Opera, but for some reason i am glued to the tv when Coronation Street is on.

My favorite show right now though is Six Feet Under.

I just have to comment on the thread's title. It is what we call an oxymoron. To talk about best tv shows is like talking about nicest heart attacks or prettiest dog bites.

Hey ya Whendel, I love that show too. If I can't catch it during the week, I get it on Sunday.

Where do I find 6pieds under? Love that show too, but then it just disappeard off the screen. Think it was ctv or showcase that carried it, but now it's gone and I'm so depressed about it I could just drink formaldyhide which has been known to have me in stitches.

figfarmer,

n. pl. ox·y·mo·ra (-môr, -mr) or ox·y·mo·rons
A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence and a mournful optimist.

oxymoron

\Ox`y*mo"ron\, n. [NL., fr. Gr. ???, fr. ??? pointedly foolish; ??? sharp + ??? foolish.] (Rhet.) A figure in which an epithet of a contrary signification is added to a word; e. g., cruel kindness; laborious idleness.

oxymoron

n : conjoining contradictory terms (as in `deafening silence')

Hope that helps, yer welcome.

ps, who's 'we'?

I had the opportunity to make some money two years ago and take Mr. Caruso and his aid to the airport in Vancouver (he doesnÂ’t like small planes) so we went across the ferry to the big city. HeÂ’s a nice guy, but he gave me shit because I didnÂ’t find him a Starbucks for his morning Fix. Then for some stupid reason when I was going to the airport I took a wrong exit and I caught some more shit because he thought he was going to miss his flight. Over all that I still got a $200 tip. I still think he can't act, but I should see the movie that he was shooting while he was on the island "black Point" I donÂ’t think it made the big screen - straight to video. that bad.
I cant beleive they picked up CSI Miami for the third season. He is so bad with the glasses the way he whips them off when he's going to say something inportant. 8)

When CSI Miami first started the lead was the pretty Kim Delany. Then he who can't act was brought in causing a clash. He complained that she had more lines than he, and she complained that he flubbed his lines too often. What lines you ask? Hee hee. Anyway, he got her booted off the show. Plus they have that blonde ice queen. Lately they've been trying to soften her up with coiffed hair, more smiling and a less abrasive personality. A couple of months ago I watched a movie called "Breasts" starring David Schwimmer of Friends fame. The ice queen was Schwimmers assistant and spent most of her on camera time topless. Quite funny to compare the two shows knowing what she's like on CSI.
