If you had to choose, which one would you choose as your favorite?

Personally, I like both of them equally.

   

Simpsons is good. But I think Family Guy is better simply because it doesnt fear to delve into the humour that others would find offensive. Simpsons has a more serious, albeit funny type where Family Guy is just plain hilarious throughout. I like when Family Guy brings up old things and makes fun of them and the imagination stints.

   

Pound for pound, Family guy is funnier, but Simpsons is better written. Both have there ups and downs, I love them equally.

   

I prefer the Simpsons because:

1- That's a serie I've watched for so long and i'm still addicted.

2- Family Guy in french is TERRIBLE

3- Last time I saw an english Family Guy episode I made a panic attack for no apparent reason.

   

TMAN that is exactly what I love about Family Guy. The flashbacks/side bits. I love when the Simpsons does flashbacks, but they don't do it too often.

Lets do some Simpson's trivia.


When Homer is at the police auction where he buys Snake's car he picks up a prisoner's uniform. What is the number on the shirt and what significance does it have ??

This is my "goto" for Simpson's trivia. It is a tough one. I am not sure if you can find the answer in the internet. It is pretty obscure. Go at it !!

   

If you're talking about Snake's prison number, the significance is that the number is the same as the episode number that he first appeared in.

Personally, this is close. I'd go with The Simpsons becuase there are more classic episodes than Family Guy (for now). There are a few Fg episodes which are a little meh.

   

I think it's obvious where my loyalties lie!

   

I'm surprised D_T_M. You Av is from a show superior to both choices and yet you don't include it in the poll.

   

Are you kidding? Futurama is nowhere near The Simpsons or The Family Guy in quality.

   

Fururama has it's moments. I love Roswell That Ends Well, they have a few really really funny characters like Bender and Zoidberg. But overall, Simpsons still is my favourit. Personally, I find that a few of the Simpsons jokes are alot more thought out, they make references to things like movie stars etc, but Family Guy is just outright funny type of thing. Simpsons is funny but the hide it under a layer of er... Stuff, which I find makes for a better show. Family Guy is as subtle as a puck to the jaw.

   

Simpsons before they started the massive religious influence. Family guy is fantastic but the weak episodes are REALLY weak, ie any episode heavily featuring chris. Futurama was cut short far before its prime. Its like comparing whiskeys! When you get right down to it, they all get the job done!!

I like Futurama, but the show was cancelled a while back. No new episodes are coming up. The old episodes still amuse me. I made this post because Family Guy and The Simpsons are making newer episodes.

Futurama is one of my fave shows, but I just wish it wasn't cancelled back then, so newer episodes could me made now and then.
