Movies to look forward to in 2016...
If you put any credence at all in reviews, and want to see Batman Vs Superman, don't read this:

Batman V Superman: The Showgirls of superhero filmsThe headline says it all though I will still see it.
The Dark Knight Returns (Animated) will probably end up being better.

It is a bit disconcerting. It's in the 30's on rotten tomatoes but I'll go see it anyway. One of the reviewers who I follow a lot gave it a fairly good review but I'll make my opinion anyway.
Don't know if anyone's posted this but it looks interesting and should be a break from the superhero genre.

I didn't read that review before watching BvS last night, but I'd say it's almost spot on IMO. I was very underwhelmed by all of it. It was way too long and the buildup was too drawn out and stupid.
When I first heard Ben Affleck was cast as Batman I was gobsmacked and not in a good way. But I liked him as Batman He reminded me of the Batman from the animated series from when I was a lad.; gruff and square jawed.

But the Batman he portrays is shit. Christian Bale did it best; as a tortured soul still doing the right thing even when no one appreciated his sacrifices. But Batman in BvS is simply a force of brutal vengeance. He literally brands criminals and his beef with Superman is based purely on hatred (not to mention he's too blinded by rage to see he's being manipulated by Lex Luthor).
Speaking of which. I wasn't keen on Jesse Eisenberg being cast as Lex Luthor and I was right. He was trying go for deliberately unhinged but came off as someone with Asperger's on cocaine. I just wanted Superman to rip his jaw off so I didn't have to hear him anymore.
Henry Cavil as Superman is just as wooden as he was in Man of Steel. And his beef with Batman just seems random. Metropolis is literally across the river from Gotham and he's never heard of Batman or Bruce Wayne? Please.
The only high point was Wonder Woman who was underutilized. Even the final act with all the action was a let down for me. There was so much flashing at times you could barely tell what was happening.
I was seriously disappointed by this movie. Maybe the next movies in the DC movies universe will be better, but this is not a good start.

"I want you to remember the one man who beat you."
In The Dark Knight Returns the fight between Batman and Superman takes place because Batman humiliates the Federal Government and The President asks Superman to rein him in.

Sometime in 2017. Story goes back to after Revenge Of The Sith and the Bothan spies that stole the plans for the first Death Star;
