The long tedious history of The Flash movie and its obscene main star.
- non-stop inteference from WB/DC producers consistently backstabing each other in order to make their own personal version of the character the only one to finally hit the screen
- an endless carousel of arriving/departing directors & scriptwriters being hired on a whim and then later run out on a rail
- the entire multi-million production being thrown into near catastrophe both during and after filming by the demented "non-binary" public behaviour of its lunatic star Ezra Miller
Worth a read. The person who collated this thread has all the correct pronouns in their bio BTW, including a rainbow flag emoji and ACAB (all cops are bastards), which should go over big here on CKA these days as it proves they're not some right-winger with a gripe

I wasn't "looking forward" to The Flash simply because of Ezra Miller's repeat criminal behaviour, which included choking a woman, throwing a chair at another woman's head, and kidnapping a girl for the purposes of grooming - amazing isn't it that Miller saved the displays of violence and mighty-male-supremacy for females only. I also opted to stay away from all DC movies going forward after the clownshow of Black Adam. Miller's lucky "they" fall into the special sort of person category that comes with all sorts of groovy exemptions from normality because the whole movie should have been scrapped when "their" fucked up little crime spree occurred. Good for "them" though that they were cunning enough to play the sort of trendy identity card that basically amounts to a free-to-do-anything-up-to-and-including-murder pass, something for the entire existence of Hollywood that's always been available for the celebrity movie/TV sector to exploit to get away with their merry type of mischief. Hopefully HE gets Jussied later on into unemployable status, like HE completely deserves, when the film is out of the theatres and no longer the center of attention. Being too much of a pain in the ass for production companies to bother to work with is really the only consequence this sickening goof is ever going to face.
Gonna be EPIC!
Ah you beat me to it!
And yeah it looks great especially with Ridley Scott at the helm. Honestly though, Joaquin Phoenix looks a little too old for the role and a little too stoic. But maybe that’s just the trailer. Napoleon crowned himself king of France at the age of 30 and Joaquin doesn’t look that young. Conversely, Josephine looks too young.
But I’m still going to watch that in a theatre. Preferably IMAX if that’s an option.
Joséphine!
I'm confused as to whether I should see this in French or in English.
We used to have a theatre here, it was called the Lido.
Used to design and print out their monthly schedules everyone pinned on their fridge.
The owner told me it was pronounced "Liddo" because it wasn't very big.
I was talking to a Russian friend in English (he can't speak French) and he couldn't remember a word in English. I asked him to say it in Russian and when he did, I said "is it a floor lamp?".
Then I had to explain to him that the Russian word for "floor lamp" is also the French word for "floor lamp"... it's also used in English = torchère.
I thought they were called Hektar.
