well they did think he was zombie chow
Rick killed Shane because Shane lured him into the woods to kill him. Carl then killed Shane again after he re-animated rather quickly as a zombie.
Rick didn't kill Lori. She was dying in childbirth and after the baby arrived Carl shot her to prevent her from re-animating. Zombies later got into the room where her body was and pretty much completely devoured her corpse.
You guys are letting me down. This is really important stuff. Try to be more accurate with it, goddammit.
(Also it's Season Five. Why were we all too lazy to make up a new thread?)
I didn't mind the quick resolution with the Terminus people. I would have liked a bit more elaboration of how they got that way.
The dude playing Gareth is signed for at least a few episodes so more Terminus in flashbacks is gonna happen. The more fun speculation is whether that big guy with the face tattoos that they let out of the one C-can was Negan who, in the comic book, is probably worse than the Governor and the Termites combined. Kirkman says no, but we never saw the big guy die so anything is possible.
I'm with Bart, some of the past seasons were too slow and scenes where characters just rambled on about their feelings were way too long and seemed to drag on forever.
Also waiting for them to clue in that zombies can't swim so why don't they just head to a lake in cottage country and find a cabin on an island?
Zombies don't breathe so they can easily walk underwater across lake beds and low-current streams.
The biggest surprise was Morgan!
Next week's ep looks like it has a bunch that have been percolating in a flooded basement or something for a couple of years. Could be impressively disgusting.
*sigh* I watched a few episodes leading up to the season premier, watched the season premier and came to an inescapable conclusion. The Walking Dead is just another prime time soap, but with zombies instead of rich people.
Hopefully my own anti-puke option will be functioning properly. Ack!
