I'm kind of skeptic of things actually being done on a Conservative minority government. The last time this happened resulted in Joe Clark getting his dog papers in 6 months and the Liberals, despite their apparent popularity even with all the corruption and scandals (and I scratch my head to that) will always be there, creeping, crawling back.....like the boogyman. 
I think a lot of voters will be pissed if they go back to the polls for another election. Not only is it a waste of time for so many people, its a waste of 250 million2000s is gonna be the most expensive decade for Canadian elections...over one billion down in the hole.

When the libs are opposition, many will notl ike it and resign. By elections galore will follow, and cons could be voted in then too. Not only that, but they need to elect a liberal speaker. If they get the ind behind them, and try to get a few bloc but not the whole party, then you will be surprised.

if over 50% of Canadians vote for a party, than they are voted into power....and then it works as you've suggested......

The Liberals won a strong majority in 1993 with about 38% of the vote. In subsequent elections since they never got 50%.
Why are you upset about it now? It seems you didn't have a problem with the system when it worked to your party's advantage.
Don't worry, I know intellectual consistency isn't your strong point.
Just rejoice in the fact we have an honest, invigorated government at the helm for a change!
