At least Harper is acting on his policies, there are not simply ''so called promises''
Well, that's kind of one of the advantages of being PM - the other parties need to be elected to act on their policies, which is the point of an election campaign.
You know what I mean, I am not that stupid so that I am not able to recognize your ''so called'' sarcasm. After all, the purpose of a debate is to argue some common points between the party leaders, but it is also a way for the current PM to be able to state his accomplishments at the same time.
Perhaps I should have used a better analogy but the meaning is still there. Better yet have another French debate so I will be able to explain it thourougly so you could understand.

Private clinics,I knew that was going to come up after Jack got the question on health care. lol!
Guh, I'm changing the channel, tonight's debate is just a bunch of stupid bickering.
Apparently speaking in french makes people civil, who knew?
ridenrain ridenrain:
If you watch the speakers. Harper's talking to the other people. Dion and Jack are also talking to the cameras. That's a big thing because the TV audience is the actual people that need to be sold, not these others.
Bang on there, Steve could be doing better. I'm sure ... oh nailed Layton on health care lol, soryy where was I? Oh, Steve could have shot back on the economy much better than he did.
ziggy @ Thu Oct 02, 2008 6:54 pm

Ralph proposed the same policy (private clinics provide services to the public) in Alberta but everybody complained about it.
