I'm talking about Stockboy's statement that he believed that dinosaurs and people walked the earth together in "Biblical times" and the fact that Harper goes to a fundamentalist church (one that believes their god wants Canada to be some sort of Christian nirvana, btw) but refuses to publicly say what his beliefs are.

It was a reference to the wider problem of the number of fundamentalists on Harper's benches though, and the deeper influence that his non-elected Christian friends have on policy.

We've already seen this dynamic play out in the US. The Christian right was pretty much a running joke in the US before Reagan. When he came to power, they gained a lot of influence though. Now they pretty much run the Republican Party and have massive influence throughout government.

They haven't been nearly as successful here, but Harper is allowing them to have influence where they should have none at all.

So what?? Don't get all fancy and blow this out of proportion with connections to US republicans and the religious right and..

Stockwell Day believes in a religion you might not agree with, be that Christianity, Wicca or WTF.

Are you suggesting that he uses mythical Jedi powers to convince a majority of parliament and the senate to pass his unpopular but "god fearing" laws?

Before you answer.. go into the bathroom, look you'reself in the eyes and say that out loud.

If you still feel that this one man is such a threat to life on this planet, we can talk some more..
