All things Battlefield 3 topic
I downloaded it on Sunday via Origin and it was 11GB! I'll be launching it when I get home to play it and have some fun. One downside I've heard already is that the single player mode sucks out loud. It's totally scripted like Call of Duty or Medal of Honor and the gameplay in single player mode is not at all like what you used to get in BF2.
One of the sites reviewing the game recommended the following specs:
i-7 CPU
8GB RAM
500GB HDD
1GB video card
5.1 sound or better
I concur. The game is graphics heavy and unless you overclock your i5 chip the game will be slow.

This is a great day indeed. The launch of BF3, the announcement of GTA V. I haven't had such a good morning since Scarlett Johansson's phone was hacked.

Meh, most games are bottlenecked by the GPU, not the CPU.
My Phenom II tricore had no issues with the Beta, but I am running an overclocked GTX 570, that's more powerful than the majority of PC users graphic cards.
Well this is interesting, on desert maps sand is not generating so instead I just see nothing, it is the only terrain to not load and it is only on the graphics level, the physics engine acts like it is there.

Try updating your ActiveX - also, if you're using Windows 7 just go out to Windows Update and run it - in the 'Optional Downloads' you may end up seeing additional software for your motherboard or video card that could help.

I forgot to add that I play via PS3, so if any of you are on the PSN, I'll happily add you to my friends list.

Pre-ordered from Amazon.ca in early Sept. People have been getting notification that their order has shipped. They won't ship mine until 28 Oct. I can buy it now and they'll process and ship THAT order before my pre-order.
I sent them an email asking WTH, and I got the "We're sorry blah blah no answer $5.00 credit to your account for your next order yada yada..." line. Nothing to resolve the issue, just empty BS.
Kiss my ass Amazon, Walmart got my money.

Oh crap.

I ordered my limited edition cope of MW3 from Amazon. Guess I'll a few days more to play BF3 before I get it I guess.
Anyone planning to play on PC?

My gaming rig will run this easy.........just not sure I want to play it. COD-B/O was such a hyped bust.
