hehe A1 - I must admit I've been busy keeping my fine self entertained with my 360 - COD2 is killing me - after spending months slogging along and killing as many bad guys as I could on 'normal' - I was disappointed to discover a locked portion that can only be opened by completing the game on 'veteran' level - now I'm stuck, xly, I'm pinned down by nasty German soldiers who keep killing me not very softly - anyone got a cheat code for this. . . .

I'm up to Hill 400 on the Veteran level. Where's the hold up? I use a PC version so it may be different.

I don't know if it makes a difference or not - I didn't hook up to my pc - but, those Germans have me pinned and I can't move without getting fragged or shot - hence the need for cheat. . . .

Are you online as well. . . .

Regina @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:20 am

Haven't gone online yet.......I've never done so, don't really know how. Where are you in the game that it pins you down?

karra_redux @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:22 am

Just won the Battle of Stalingrad and am trying to repair the telephone cable - that's where the rotten bastards have me pinned - for ever. . . .

karra_redux @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:24 am

It's enough to turn one into a seriously depressed Canadian malcontent. . . .

Try throwing smoke and running away. Grenades too if you still have any.
When going through the game on a lower level, I got stuck on top of the silo and had to go back to the start of that level. The game saved at a point where there must have been a mortar in the air because I didn't have time to bring up the sniper rifle and I was toast. The cable repair was a tough on because of all the broken walls and distant windows.

karra_redux @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:32 am

lol, those mortar buggers were difficult to snipe - took a few deaths before I stopped running around the top of the silo and located them all - in the end - RIGHT championed, as usual. . . .

I have loads of smoke and grenades - either way I run to fall back and regroup, I run into streams and streams and streams of machine gun fire - they're killing moi. . . .

Regina @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:40 am

Wow.......can you use the grenades to clear your path while you run back to your komrades in the smoke?

karra_redux @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 12:05 pm

I guess that's what I'm going to have to do - smoke 'em with everything I've got - some times, I just have to walk away for a few days to think, plot and try and pluck myself out of this Kanadian Malkontent-ment state. . . .

Regina @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 1:28 pm

Sometimes advancing quickly into them does the trick as well. Fire everything you got........

karra_redux @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 2:09 pm

$1:
Fire everything you got........

That's exactly what I'll do, tonight - if I don't report success come alookin' pour moi. . . .

Regina @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 3:37 pm

Do you play online as well?

karra_redux @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 3:45 pm

No, just on a large screen - but I have to keep the door open on the entertainment unit as they really run hot - nice to be able to move around and kick things periodically though. . . . :)

Regina @ Tue Jan 31, 2006 3:49 pm

Yeah my mouse and keyboard get a little bop every so often too.
This thread certainly took a turn didn't it?
