Homophobia 101
JetBoy JetBoy:
lily lily:
Why not?
Because she's a fascist. Telling people what to do, how to act, how to have fun, how to think, how to look, where to go, what to do...
WTF

you need to seriously relax. Where are you getting this crap? Whoa if I'm like all you said I seriously need to move, like yesterday

I'll answer both of you at the same time. They have outlived their useful purpose directing attention to discrimination of gay's. They are now nothing more than a half naked, half porn clown show. They don't any longer belong on a city street to be viewed potentially by children. They are an embarassment to the "moderate" gay community who does not want their sexual choice to be viewed in such a negative light. You wouldn't see a strip show moving on down the street. Neither should you see half naked men acting in a lewd manner in the guise of public enlightenment. Strippers are a paid for event in a building you can choose to enter or not. Either tone it down to what it is meant to be or move it a less public forum. Your not going to change my mind on this don't waste your breath. Jetboy, I've already said I think you still have issues with your sexuality. You are very hostile when no one is even remotely discriminating against you. I don't have issues in any context with someone being gay, lesbian, bi-sexual it's a sexual preference nothing more, nothing less, it does not in any way define who they are as a person. I don't have issues with a gay pride parade if it is done in good taste, it no longer is, thats the bottom line.
agreed! absolutely!
Omega @ Wed Aug 15, 2007 1:01 am
Novachick, I don't have any issues with my sexuality whatsoever. I'm just get sick of fascists like yourself telling me how to act, how to look, how to have fun, etc. Mind your own fucking bee's wax and I'll mind yours.
BTW, have you ever even been to a gay pride parade before? Or are you judging them based on the small fraction of percieved negativity you see or read in the media? Your comments that it's half-naked porn clown show tells me you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about.

LOL, you telling me to relax? I'm not the one complaining here about what others do in their own time.
My advice to you is that
you relax and live and let live.

Morning Nova! Watch it, he will start by saying that the economy gets a boost when they organize a gay parade. The fact that is only the local economy, and the whole province paying for everything doesn't mean shit, obviously...
Don't be stupid. The local economy pays for it and it benefits from it. Vancouver has it's own police. Same with most major cities in Canada where the parades take place, like Toronto.
But let's listen to some clueless lady from Holland who knows how things work here more than local residents themselves. Let's just do away with all parades, public events, and festivals while we're at it. Even the fireworks competition here in Vancouver, and any Canada Day and New Years celebrations. Let's have a super-boring city that doesn't do anything.

You know, JetBoy, I have been nice to you all over, I have never called you names what so ever. I don't deserve this. I can have my opinion and state it, just as you pushes yours. Don't tell me to shut up, because that won't work.
The weird thing about Canada is, that I cannot take my kids to some show because they are serving beer, but there is no problem for my kids to watch the gay parades from their window, where people are close to having sex in public. I mind that, yes.
Why do all parades in bans? The ones you mentioned have nothing to do with a group that calles themselves special, while in the meantime, when they are treated differently, they scream to be discriminated against.
So who exactly is the stupid, clueless one?
It is not only Canadian gay parades, it is worldwide. Don't tell me, this is a Canadian forum, so only Canadian things are to be discussed, because I think we can shut it down then. Anyway, the Amsterdam gay parade does nothing for the economy in north east Groningen, although I think you have no clue on what I am saying now

Who gets to decide what constitutes "good taste"?
You?

How do you feel about XXX Video stores? Amsterdam's red light district? Mardi Gras?
XXX video stores, couldn't care less. Never been to the red light district of Amsterdam or Mardi Gras can't reply to that. Lily don't even go there with the good taste crap gay pride parades have become sexually explicit bottom line, an apple is an apple, living in the land of denial doesn't make your point. Before you go all homophobic tripping on me save your breath, I've had gay couples spend the night in my house, get over yourself.

you simply don't get the idea! beer served at an occasion will make alcoholics out of your children, but gay parades with raise tolerance in them!

You know what I'm getting a little sick of your hostile attitude. I'm not telling you anything. Seriously dude I could care less about how you act/look/live/screw/do/eat whatfucking ever LOL. Yes i've seen a gay pride parade, hell i've seen a drunken gay pride parade in my own house. I don't have an issue with it in my house, there aren't any children present. Sorry to inform when it comes to what happens in terms of a city street it is my business, as a tax payer and voter it is very much my business.
Another thing if i see you say one more negative comment in terms of Brenda's nationality. I am going to report you and I basically don't report anyone for anything on this board. Your hostile attitude goes far beyond simple flaming and I won't tolerate it any longer. Get your act together.

Ever been to a gay pride parade?
Save your stupid comments Lily, I'm not going to play your game give it up. Like I said if I'm intolerent of anything of a sexual nature damn I soooooo need to move. Hey I know the next time we have a game day party. I'll invite you, you will need to don a bikini and mud wrestle in the indoor mud filled kiddie pool.

There might even be a lesbian or two in the pool but that won't bug you right. Why do I feel you are all about words and no action. You take the opposing view just because it's there. Lily girl I have your number give it up.

Yes you can have your own opinion, but I have mine too, and that's that you have no clue what you're talking about. That's made evident by your stab at me over the entire province paying for it when in fact it doesn't. If you don't know how the jurisdictions work here or who pays for what, therefore I'm not sure how you figure you can speak to it.
Brenda Brenda:

There's no sex in public. I don't know what you've seen over in Holland but here I've seen more parades than I can recall and I've never seen sexual acts, especially around children. If people don't want their children to see it, then move out of the gay inner city areas and into the suburbs.
Brenda Brenda:
Why do all parades in bans? The ones you mentioned have nothing to do with a group that calles themselves special, while in the meantime, when they are treated differently, they scream to be discriminated against.
Why do all parades what? Gays don't call themselves special. They call themsevles equal. We've been over this before and if you can't see that then I'm not sure what else to tell you.
Brenda Brenda:
So who exactly is the stupid, clueless one?
You?

Oh really? It doesn't draw out-of-town crowds that don't spend any money there? I have a hard time believing that.

That's different. It's inciting hatred towards minorities.
