I watched some of the Winnipeg Ottawa game, it looked like good hard hitting, fast, well played, good passing emotional hockey.

Then I went and watched a local senior hockey league game, it was good hard hitting, fast, well played, good passing emotional hockey. And it ended in a shorthanded, overtime goal. Saturday night at the rink.

   

Few more hours thill the Oilers open their season against the Canucks. Can't wait to see how the Yakupov and Schultz look in their NHL debuts.

I'm predicting a close but relatively high scoring game. 5-3 Oilers.

   

well, I was right about the OIl winning, and that it would be close. 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Also, nyah nyah nyah

Sooo, anyone els see the Oiler's game? Crazy finish. I can't believe people are complaining about the Yak's celebration though.

   

Pretty inept start to the game with all the penalties and 5 on 3's for both teams and nobody could score.

   

I agree!! Oilers were burned on the no goal call and it was only deserving they won in that fashion. With a short season points are twice the value and he had every right to a Sic Celli !!! Wasn't an OV Celli but still a good one with just cause.

   

Is it horribly un-Canadian of me to really not give two shits about this season? That I wish that absolutely no fan attends a game in the arena as a big "Fuck You" to everyone in the NHL, and only watch the game on TV, if that?

I happen to agree with you, and wish I was strong enough to actually ignore it, but I can't. Need my fix.

   

I'm still a little pissed the strike is over. Monday, Wednesday and Fridays just aren't the same.
