No. It is pretty much meaningless, as long as we do some winning in the next games.

Not to take anything away from the Swiss as they played their socks off, but now the secret to Carolinas success is out, Gerber stood on his head! 
But did anybody find the officiating was absolutely, fucking brutal! That Russian referee, does he even know what hockey is? He called some wierd ass penalties, against both sides, that had anybody who understands the game of hockey scratching their heads! ![[huh]](./images/smilies/icon_scratch.gif "huh?"){kind=icon}

The one ref even stopped a rush because he thought the glass behind the net was loose,they had to explain to him that's the way it is,it flex's. 
It probably would have been worse if Canada was winning.

this is just the relegation round folks.. top 4 go in per division to quarters... don't worry about it... Good game of defensive hockey... nice goals by the ex canadian Depietro... oh well 3 more games to go before the really important ones..

Yeah. And remember what happened the last time around? Our boys got off to a bit of a slow start, and look what happened. Once they fully get over the jet-lag and when the schedule becomes less insane, they'll start with the ass kickings.

Toro.. a number of years ago.. Italy ties Canada 3-3 in 1982.. at the world championship.. Canada had Gretzky and a number of top NHL'rs.. Italy had NO ONE.... Things happen. Sweden lost to Belarus in 2002... in the Quarter final.. Belarus.
Switzerland knocked off Czech Republic and Canada but lost to the Finland team 5-0....
Finland plays czechs today...
Finland plays Canada tomorrow

Why? The Swiss played well, their goalie was better than awesome. They deserved the win as they did against the Czech's in their last game.

Shots on goal was, what - 49 to 18? Canada didn't play badly but they were up against a hot goalie.

yes Gerber was Hot.. but it was a Solid team effort in front of him. Very few rebounds out.... pucks got through were stopped and covered or sent to the boards.
Looks like they took a page out of the Jaques Lemaire coaching manual.
