I was expecting a much tighter game than that one was but good for Washington on the win.

So... we have a Stanley Cup match-up between Las Vegas and Washington. Not the two teams I would have predicted that's for sure. It should be an interesting series.

   

Everyone in Vegas was saying that we needed Washington to win, that way we would have home ice advantage. They said that Washington was the more "beatable" team. I don't know about that. Washington has momentum. I have to say that I do not care much for that look in Ovechkin's eye. He looks like a man possessed. Its kind of unnerving. I am grateful for home ice, I just wish that Tampa had taken some more starch out of Washington.

   

Isn’t a seven game series enough starch?

   

Washington has the best road record in the playoffs.

I didn't say anything in the beginning, but Ovi is probably really pissed
he missed that Russian gold in Korea.

No, not when Washington administered a 4 -0 ass whipping on the road. Thats a confidence builder. The fact that they have not let a puck go by in the last two games is a confidence builder. I was hoping for a triple overtime high scoring affair with lots of fights, multiple injuries.

It is what it is. It should be a good series. I hope it goes to game 7 with a win at home. It has been such a great year that I hate to see it all come to an end.

   

Wow. I can't believe the series doesn't start until Monday.


Anyone want to predict the winner and in how many games?

   

No one expected the Knights to even be in the playoffs let alone the Stanley Cup Finals, so the T mobile arena was booked for other events after the regular season. The PINK: world tour 2018 is being held on Sat May 26. Too many tickets were sold to people from out of town (who could not reschedule ) to cancel the event. The event will go on as planned. Conflicting events is the reason for the delay.

I predict the Knights in 6.

   

Knights in six or seven. Gonna be a tough series.

   

Don't worry, I'm sure Buttman and the refs will do all they can to help.


Caps in 6 or 7.

   

   

So long as the ref's don't the Cap's they'll win in 6.

Oh boy. The Stanley Cup final match-up that no one wanted. I lost interest once the Jets got eliminated. No Canadian teams, no interest.

Bettman will be happy. That smug bastard gets yet another Stanley Cup with no Canadian teams, and his had-picked expansion team. What a joke!

I hear you about Buttman, CP and could not agree more with your sentiments.

That said, I am cheering for the Knights. I'm a Pens fan and was somewhat miffed at the team when they got rid of Marc-Andre - I would really like to see him hoist the Cup with the Knights - man what payback that would be. I love the fact that no one else thought these guys were worth the price of a spot on their team only to see those very same players shine in game after game after game.

GO KNIGHTS, GO!
