http://camillecacnioapology.wordpress.c ... -am-sorry/

reading this makes me almost ill. It's full of 'I did wrong, but.....' The line about yelling at those trying to chop down trees is inane and vacuous. I love the way she tries to justify her behavior and blames it on mob mentality. The only thing she seems sorry about is getting caught on film looting. And, as for her belief that what she did isn't equitable with vandalism, yes it is....both cost individuals and businesses tens of millions of dollars every year. In fact, theft costs more. I'd say that 200 to 300 hours of community service, telling people what she did, would be a good start, not the forgive and forget bullshit she seems to be looking for.

wow, what a crock of shit.

Well I would have to say that you are a much nicer guy than I am. I would have her breaking big rocks into little rocks for a few years on a chain gang. The fact that she has the audacity to play the race card at the end of her bullshit manifesto is really quite too much! I would add several years to her sentence on that note alone! Way to many people have had to overcome actual racial discrimination in their lives. To see some ignorant bitch try to use it as an excuse to commit crimes, makes me want to retch in her face. This bitch has some real gall. I would move for enhanced penalties for .........well whatever. I would make shit up off of the top of my head just like she is doing. Give her a taste of her own medicine. This bitch has some real nerve! I would make a donation if I knew it would help keep her ass incarcerated for a while. She goes on about the adrenaline rush of the mob mentality. Well great! Prison is all about the mob mentality. Lets see how much of a rush she gets doing some time in the big house.

Feel free to borrow it :)

Dear Burrard Acura,

Recently I read a public 'apology' of sorts from your employee Camille Cacnio,
for her participation in the Vancouver Riots.

After saying sorry, she continues on to actually blame everyone and everything for the incident, except herself.

Excuses of alcohol consumption, mob mentality, trying to say "Well, I only looted, I didn't burn anything", and finally, expressions of 'young rage'.

As a Canadian, I was outraged by the rioters during the Stanley Cup Game 7. One of the big differences between this and the 1994 Riots, is that this incident
has gone global, with Canada's reputation being damaged as a result.

Another thing that has changed, people are being called to account for their actions.
Nathan Kotylak will probably lose a scholarship for his participation.
Connor Mcilvenna has already been fired from his job in Richmond, after his employer
received more than 100 complaints.
Alex Prochazka will lose professional sponsors such as Oakley for his actions during the riot.
And the list will continue to grow.

It is time to show the people who participated and looted in this riot
that there are real consequences for their shameful display.
Businesses must also take note; Rite Tech Construction has done the right thing
by firing Mr. Mcilvenna. As a business owner myself, if one of my employees was
involved in this riot, I would not wait past 10 complaints.

I therefore ask Burrard Acura to remove Miss Cacnio from her employment with your company.
As long as she is associated with Burrard Acura, I will not do business with you,
and will encourage my friends and colleagues to boycott your company as well.

I await your response.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

I need to stay off of the internet before bedtime. I was in a good mood, and ready for bed. Reading this thread has made me furious! My heart is racing to fast to sleep now. I will have to slam a few C.C and Cokes to mellow out enough to sleep now. Seriously I hope the law goes after all these self serving assholes with their fake apologies harder than the people that that they catch with good old fashioned police work. The only people trying to appologize know they are on youtube. Do we have any accounts where people are coming forward to appologize who are not on Youtube? Those people [if they exist] I would cut some slack. All these douchebags caught on Youtube with their spincontrol responses, I would throw the book at. No mercy whatsoever.

Hit them where it hurts, Rick.... in the wallet.

Watch what happens if Burrard Acura gets 100 complaints.

$1:
.....What I did was completely out of character for me, but I did it because I was influenced by mob mentality. I want to shed light onto the thought process that was in my head so that maybe you can all get a little bit of an understanding and sympathize for people like me, who made wrong decisions but have now become victims of this social media form of mob mentality.....

AKA: I'm easily influenced and wanted to be considered cool by those surrounding me. Because I was caught red handed, I figured I would turn myself in so that I might get just a slap on the wrist..... and because I got caught and tossed on YouTube, it's really the fault of current social media & current technologies.

$1:
..... I am ready to deal with the consequences in a judicial manner, and three, because (may I remind you that) I am responsible for theft – a fairly minor action compared to vandalism and arson. Please remember and understand that I am not responsible for the riot.

I did not vandalize any buildings.
I did not set fire on anything.
I did not break any glass.
I did not instigate the riot.
I did not physically harm anybody.
I did not jump on any cop cars.
I did not even plan on being in the riot.....

AKA: Although I committed a criminal act and because I don't think it's as serious as all of the other criminal acts that occurred, and because I confessed, that makes it all better.... and because you didn't catch me doing anything else on video or photo, I can easily say I didn't do any of those other things.

$1:
......At the time, being a part of the riot was simply to fulfill the adrenaline rush I was looking and hoping for – an adrenaline rush that I previously got from post-winning games: hugging randoms, dancing on the streets, honking car horns non-stop, and high-fiving just about everybody. In the same way that everybody enjoyed collectively showing pride in our team, it was enjoyable to express my disappointment in a collective manor.....

AKA: I was being nice and hippy-like the whole time, but was influenced by others doing wrong things, and thus.... it's really their fault and I'm just a brainless moron who can't think for herself.

$1:
..... I had no intentions of defiling the city.....

And lunatic serial killers had no intention of killing their victims, chopping them up and eating a little bit of their flesh.... I & they had good intentions don't forget and that's all that matters.

$1:
.... But in my immature, intoxicated perspective all I saw was that the riot was happening, and would continue happening with or without me, so I might as well get my adrenaline fix.....

AKA: I was too drunk to know what I was doing was wrong..... (Hmmm.... didn't I hear a rapist use that excuse a few years back?)

$1:
...... As bad as it sounds, the stealing was purely fun for me. I had no intentions with the product. I just wanted to get a souvenir at the time. I took two sized 42 mens dress pants. I’m a woman’s size 6-8. I don’t have any brothers, cousins, boyfriends, fathers, grandfathers or anything else of the like that are size 42 in mens. I did not plan on selling them either.......

So that makes it ok.

Stealing is fun for most people who steal.

.... bah, I'm not reading any further. If she had anything worthwhile to say she would have said it by now.

She's a dolt and figured if she came clean now, she'd get off easy, that's all there is to it.

Blah blah blah.

The consequences of your actions are not just the criminal/legal aspect in regards to the law and your punishment, the consequences also include the public humiliation & criticism she is currently getting. Regardless of how much criminal activity she got involved in, she was involved never the less and thus, contributed to the on-going rioting & damage done to the city.

In that regard, she's no better then the people burning things & smashing things.

Speaking of mob mentality. You're seriously going to write letters and e-mails to these people's employers? For real? How about letting the justice system punish these people? I'm as angered by the riot as anyone, but it's NONE OF YOUR GODDAMN BUSINESS to be contacting these people's employers. This isn't the Wild, Wild West. We follow the rule of law in civilized places. We don't carry out frontier justice. If you have information to share with the police in aid of their investigation, fine, but contacting their employers demanding their dismissal is crossing a line that makes YOU bigger assholes than the rioters. You're acting like a bunch of Oliver Crangles.

EyeBrock @ Mon Jun 20, 2011 7:10 am

The rule of law didn't stop this well educated chick from looting in a riot.

It isn't? Considering the disrespectful acts of said individual, who willingly looted from local businesses, I'd have no desire to hand over my credit card, or any other sensitive information who cannot even truly take responsibility for their actions. A business or corporation should care about the concerns of their customers.

I must have missed the desire to string her up at the town square. Plus, what's uncivilized about contacting a business over their concerns about an employee? Certainly a business owner would be concerned over poor employee conduct.

Really? Wanting somebody who conducted a criminal offense, and cannot take responsibility for their actions is the same as looting, burning people's cars, beating and stabbing individuals, attacking police, and destroying businesses? We have different "lines", I guess.
