Who were the ones that allowed the shit pot in Caledonia to reach the point where things overflowed? Had the government done their job in the first place by applying the law and prosecuting the criminals, the situation wouldn't be what it is today. Builders wouldn't be getting assaulted, camera crews and old people wouldn't have been assaulted. Inaction has only encouraged the brazeness of the criminals posing as native activists.

However, that being said, the laws don't need to be toughened. The current laws just need to be enforced. What good is having tougher laws in the books if it they aren't going to be enforced as well?

More of that trademark Liberal "rightious indignation" again, with a healthy side of CBC bias.

Where's Mike Harris when you need him.

Nothing like a good killing of a savage to teach him how to live, right, hwacker?

On a note address to people more able to comprehend it. There is no, and I mean absolutely NO, justification for the authorities to not act according to the law. That is, in that order:

1) Arrest and try people who have participated, or are participating, in act of violence or threats of violence.

2) Solve the issue of whether the land was sold by the Five Nations to the Crown, as the government and the land developer claim, or the land transaction in question was fraudulent as the Five nations claim.

What are you trying to say asshat ?

I think there was an inquest and I don't think he was involved. Keep your personal beliefs in your head when dealing with facts.

The land was given to the Loyalist Mohawks by the Crown, just like any other UEL. It wasn't and isn't their ancestral land. They chose to sell it like other people.

Want to deal with facts, hwacker? You are the one who wishes Mike Harris was back. He was the Premier, he chaired a government meeting in which Ipperwash was discussed. He is the one who uttered racist comments. Although the inquiry found that he did not himself interfere in police decision-making, the commissioner also found there was interference by members of his staff and that his stance on the issue limited the range of options the OPP considered.

BTW, please feel free to express your personal belief anytime. Will help people see how much you hate.

You surprise me, Shepherd. You got two things right, for once.. As for the third one... It has been the contention of the Five nations since 1841 - the year the Crown says a sale took place - that there was no sale. I for one would like nothing better that see the matter resolved in a court of law, an option that the Five Nations have tried for the past 15 years or so. I thought you would be more than happy about the possibility of a bunch of "primitives" exposed as liars.

Make it 3. I was right about your parents being siblings too. Hwacker owes me 5 dollars because he gave you credit for them just being first cousins. Hey, wait a sec wolfy poo.... add another one to the 'right' list. Hwacker said your cognitive problems were due to blunt force trauma and I bet chromosonal damage. Man, I've just tripled your daily take from pan handling haven't I?

This is one of those issues where dragging an "Inconvenient Truth" out into the light of day, causes our resident big L LIBRANOs to come howling out of the woodwork frothing at the mouth.

These are the same ones who would vote for a red assed baboon if he wore a LIBRANO armband.

A one poster pointed out these people are as aboriginal in Canada as the South Molloccans are in the Netherlands.

You must be very afraid that the Five Nations would be proven right if the issue of whether there was indeed a valid sale in 1841 went to court. I am not afraid one bit; I think they would be proven wrong.

I would wager that shep is much like me.....indifferent.

Civilized folk seek redress through litigation......and stop unwelcome activity by means of injuctive relief not by mob violence.

If the Five nations case has merit or even appear to possibly have merit the courts will grant an injuction----if the Five nations can post a bond to indemnify the injucted party if in the final analysis their suit is cold--without merit.

The folks of Caledonia are likely also largely indifferent but pissed because goons keep blocking the road and get a bit miffed when assaulted.
