Church of England to snub Israelis.

The CoE and all other Protestant churchs are quite right wing in Québec...
No, they are quite
Federalist. That does not make them 'right-wing'.
They're just leftists who have loyalties other than yours.
BartSimpson BartSimpson:
Who gains by this action against Caterpillar and, by proxy, Israel?
The short list is Hamas, the terrorist organziation which now governs Palestine.
That's interesting. I hadn't thought of it in the context of Hamas governing them......
Lots of churches, governments, and the U.N. donate money to Palestine. A lot are stopping, but some I'm sure will continue to give some money...
I wonder if they will be charged with Supporting Terrorism by the U.S.....That would lead to a weird situation....I don't know what a judge would think of that.
Hopefully Hamas will change......but it doesn't look good.....time will tell

I have held the position all along that there must be support for the Palestinian government and Presedent Abbas but not Hammas. Supporting the President so he can stand up and veto parliamentary bills is most importaint.

No, they are right wing. They are against abortion, same-sexe marriage, women's rights.. etc. Not to say all Protestant churchs, but most.
Edit: I remember a few years back a CoE Pastor blaming the failure of the region on women entering the work force and taking jobs from young men. And blaming the low birth rate on abortion.

The United Church supports Gay Marriage. The Anglican Church is torn by it internally. They also support dramatic increases in Canadian aid to third world countries, that's hardly a "right wing" concept.
The Anglican and United Churches were strong opponents of Mike Harris's "Safe Streets Act" in Ontario which was designed to remove "squeegee kids" and agressive panhandlers from the streets. I'm pretty sure their Quebec wings were of the same opinion on that.
Those same churches are opposed to the war in Iraq.
As for abortion, all religious organizations are opposed to abortion. The Canadian Islamic Council are adamantly opposed to both abortion and same sex marriage. Would you consider the various Muslim organizations in Canada to be "Right Wing?"
How about the Canadian Organization of Sikh Canadians? They oppose Abortion and SSM.
So, please tell us how "right wing" the Protestent Churches are Nemure.

I would call those Sikhs right-wing then too.
In general I think most religions are more Conservative than not....
Religion is about believing in old teachings.......Conservatism is about believing in old traditions (apart from fiscal conservatives like Paul Martin).

Actually, there's christian groups who share the same views than these and guess what ? they vote the marxist-leninist party of qc,
duh I meant Bloc Québecois, anyway ...
Every religions have their retards, we have these groups, the jews have the zionists and as for the muslims... just take a loot at the news
it goes back to fixing the rift in the church...hes basicaly been instructed on what to say by The Archbishop of the Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East...trust me...when Hamas attacks the christians in Palestine watch how quickly the CofE throws it's support behind Israel...also they just want peace....however they people who advise them on this stuff is the afformentioned province of the Church which is largely made up of Palestinians and other arabs...

Fiscal conservatives don't work with the NDP on childcare programs.
