Does any one really give damn about this creeps rights being violated? Not me. He should be thankful they only got a picture of him in his undies. It could have been worse, like he coulda been photo'd in WOMENS underwear like the other dudes at Abu Ghraib. Or maybe forced into a Naked Iraqi Pyramid.

Ummmmmm...let me think. The US is over their trying to instill their beliefs and values into the population. Is one of those values the complete disregard for international treaties.

Ironic how the US justified the war on many fronts including how Saddam ignored the international community (UN) resolutions, then go ahead and ignore the international community themselves.

I think Iraq looked more like the US prior to invasion.

It's just another opportunity for people to smear the U.S. Good for them...they can't have it both ways- either Saddam's a mass murderer or they have to protect his dignity. Which one is it? To hell with Saddam. If the Sun wants to print it, good for them. People that already hate us are the ones who are complaining- and good for them! They must like defending some psychoass mass murderer.

No kidding. They're whining because someone shot him with a camera.

Don't fret too much because after the trial is over they won't shoot him with cameras anymore.

But all the families of people he killed would love me for it.

The guys that found him should have done the world a favor and capped his ass right there and then, BUT they thought he might have some info that would be useful. NOT.

And yes you would love my Canada if I was king like Martini.

Not all people think like you, hawker. Not all people think that utter revenge is the best way to solve problems like this. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Geneva Convention or whatever, that pic is funny..

PS: i still think that what he's got coming for all he has done (and I think we all must agree he IS going to get it) far outweighs the humiliation and rights violation incurred. He is a bad dude.

Death becomes Saddam- in the past and in the future.

In what will be the second time this week in which the British have kicked America's ass, The Sun ignores America's protestations and publishes another pictures of Saddam in his underwear on the front page of today's edition. The pictures are POPULAR in Iraq, where many Iraqis actually laughed our loud when they saw the photos of their humiliated former dictator. Bush is now launching a probe into how the photos were leaked.

From The Sun -

Bush probes Saddam's pants
By TOM NEWTON DUNN

GEORGE Bush yesterday launched a probe into how pictures of Saddam Hussein in his underpants were leaked.

His spokesman said: “He has been briefed. He wants to get to the bottom of it.”

Mr Bush stressed he did NOT believe The Sun’s snaps yesterday would cause a backlash in Iraq.

The fascinating photographs — which also show the fallen tyrant, 68, washing his socks and sleeping in his cell — provided the first glimpse of his life in captivity.

After appearing in The Sun they were shown around the world on TV and in newspapers.

In Baghdad, Iraqis gathered in coffee shops to laugh out loud as our front page picture of their ex-president in his Y-fronts was screened by Arab networks.

And the US President was quick to dismiss frenzied claims that the pictures could trigger more attacks on British or American soldiers.

Mr Bush said: “I don’t think a photo inspires murders. I think insurgents are inspired by an ideology that is so barbaric and backwards that it’s hard for many in the western world to comprehend how they think.”

The Pentagon confirmed the pictures are genuine but insisted the photographs did not come from an official leak.

However, senior MoD sources last night revealed top brass on both sides of the Atlantic are secretly pleased.

The senior British military source said: “The Pentagon has to put up a strong public show of anger as it doesn’t look good for them if it looks like they leaked them.

“But commanders on the ground will be secretly quite pleased. It is a morale blow to the resistance to see their great leader so humbled.

“And they’ll also remind a lot of Iraqis why we’re there in the first place and what we’ve achieved.”

Last night, a French lawyer for Saddam threatened to sue The Sun for $1million in damages.

Emmanuel Ludot said: “I think it’s a strategy duly orchestrated by the Americans to destroy the image of Saddam Hussein — to say ‘look at this man, he’s not a god, he’s only a man’.”

Sun managing editor Graham Dudman said: “I defy any newspaper, magazine, or television station who were presented with them not to have published.

“This is the modern-day Adolf Hitler. Don’t feel sorry for him.”

I think they would rather hear him account for all of his crimes. Killing more people, no matter who they are, doesn't bring back the ones that have already been killed.

Maybe in your head.

Did Saddam ever break Geneva Convention?
I think so people.
He now has to pay for the things he has done to people in the past.
Paybacks are a bitch.
Poor Poor Saddam.

NOT !!!! .

Who cares about Saddam? I don't give a toss.

The US military has launched an "aggressive" investigation into how the photographs were obtained, and condemned their publication in The Sun.

"aggressive investigation"....Ya right.

I always wondered why he's in a five star prison? Is it for his help during the US/ Iraq years? I bet Saddam gets off "lightly", meaning his death sentence never comes around. Saddam will just grow old in prisons wrapped up in legalities as the lawyers milk what riches he managed to accumulate. Just look at the Pinochet trials.... how many & which countries backed that dictator? ....and he's still living the last of his years in relative comfort where he should be suffering miserably for his crimes. It all seems like a facade to me.

More Saddam photos published

Boo hoo. I understand there are rules for a reason and they should be respected, but who really cares...
