you are simlifying... in the end of all it doesn't matter how it fits a definition from a ductionary, but what we normally mean by calling say christianity or islam a religion, confucianism doesnt fit this and this is the point. it's rather complicated to look into the phenomena of confucianism within the thread. it took me 6.5 years to study it and i still keep on after getting a degree. Taoism and Buddism can hardly be called minoriries religion as an everage chinese usually cannot be attributed to only one of these (unless one is a monk), they are mostly followers of syncretic religions.
