You're funny.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Hitler. Hitler was at least a decent politican.

The first guy was funnier.

Spreading democracy is just icing on the cake.

No, it's a lie the Bush and his pupetteer came up with after their other WMD lie was sunk, it's an effetive tool to keep their sinking liferaft afloat, but it's wearing thin.

Actually, it's not a lie since Iraq just held a democratic election.

Let me rephrase. After the other lies were sunk, Bush and co needed somthing else to keep their Iraq invasion plans afloat. So they decided to spread Democracy, which they may very well be doing. But the new Democratic leader of Iraq, what is he going to be? More than likely a puppet of the Bush administration, he probably doesn't hold any real power.

Oh im sure he does, I dont think the noble Iraqi people would lower themselves to be puppets. But it remains to be seen in terms of future goals.

Actually, installing a new government was part of the plans from the get-go. It wasn't like we were going to move in, plunder the WMD's, and then just leave. And we wouldn't install anything other than a democracy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you origonally said that spreading Democracy was an afterthought. You later edited it to say Icing on the cake, but it pretty much says the same thing...

Yes, the goal of spreading democracy was an afterthought. The primary thought was to eliminate Saddam and his capabilities.

Nevertheless, the Democratic leader of Iraq will most likely be a puppet. I still think that if the US has plans for freeing a country from a dictator, they should have started in North Korea or maybe an African country that is being fucked over terribly.
