rev,,,FOR THE LOVE OF GOD....bush , using intelligence supplied to him by a dapleted cia....said that the was a good probabillity THAT IRAQ HAD NUKES, GAS ECT....
that the threat to us was too great to just let em pass..
so get off the lied crap.....wether thay are in syria now or they never exsisted...I dont care...
he gassed his own people..[ so what if an american co gave it to him]....
you distort as much as anyone...are you intimite with sheep or take your pick?...
as for pig fuckers...old slick willie probably was closer to doing it than gw
and as for gw plotting to do in saddam before 9/11....why not...he snubbed his nose at the un....us....made threats...and his past ..well we had to take it for what it was worth...so get off it....
saddam was behind a thrarted attemp on bush sr...that right there buddy was enough to justify our bombing em into the 4th world...not to mention countless no fly zone violations....or playing 3 card monty with the weapon inspctors...just cause you hate war....some of us dont like it but know there is a time to fight....not peace keep....
in 10 yrs iraq should be doing great...theres alot of information you and I are not privy to....so to second guess all his actions.with yur rehtoric is really....really...un intelligent.....

YOUR EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US....NEEDED TO BE SAID......SHOULD BE REPEATED TO SPAIN.......[ PUSSIES CAVED.]...BUT THEN THE ENGLISH ALWAYS KNEW THEY WERE.....ONLY GOOD THING THEYVE EVER DON WAS FUND COLUMBUS IMHO....BUT THATS ANOTHER BATTLE....
Bush was twisting the intelligence, Feeko...lying about it. Bush said that Iraq had huge stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons. Tenet came forward and said that the intelligence showed no evidence of that. Bush said that Iraq had a weapons program and that the aluminum tubes were proof of that. The tubes were not usable for nuclear programs because they were coated. Bush and Blair both used forged documents to try to say that Iraq was trying to buy uranium from Niger. The documents were so badly forge that every real government on earth laughed at them.
Your president lied to you, Feeko. He lied to the entire world.
When Saddam gassed his own people, Droolin' Ronnie Rayguns and his helpers did their level best to keep it out of the news, off of the public radar. They didn't just supply the materials, Feeko, they made sure that their pet psychopath wasn't punished for it. For many of the same people to try to use that gassing as justification now is the height of hypocrisy.
It is illegal to start a war, Feeko. Your president is a criminal. If he was the leader of a less-powerful country he'd be in a docket at the Hague for what he did.
his father lied to me bout taxes....
GW has not lied to me...I didnt need to be persueded about the iraqis...
not knowing...is not a lie....as I SAID......AFTER 9/11 AMERICA WOKE UP AND DECICED THE WORLD WAS STILL A DANGEOUS PLACE.....
i WONT CHANGER YOUR VIEW....
Not wanting to know...seeing evidence to the contrary and still saying the opposite is lying, Feeko.
There is growing evidence that Bush and his pals were extremely negligent before 9-11, possibly allowing it to happen through their own incompetence. That's because they were so fixated on Iraq, a country without ties to bin Laden (at least before the invasion) or WMD, that they weren't paying attention.
Looking at this from another point of view.... When 9/11 happend. The very next day Gold tripled in price. During the first Gulf War the price of a barrel of oil went from $13 a barrel to $44 a barrel, world wide. Do you guys remember when regular unleaded was 39.9? So whether or not the U.S. gets any oil from Iraq or not it doesn't matter. Oil pumped in the U.S. almost quadrupled in price. Analysts say this summer gas prices at the pumps will almost certainly go over $1 a liter in some places. How can you possible trust a government where it's own Intelligence and security advisors are ignored in favor of playing cowboy? George Tenet knew, Richard Clarke knew(http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4571338), Rand Beers knew... I don't know... If the U.S. pulls out of Iraq now it would be a catastrophe for the Iraq citizens and in a year things would go right back to the way they were with some other dictator in power. The U.S. just dug themselves into a huge Catch-22 that if they try to get out of now will result in everyone else suffering. Basically it comes back to lack of communication. Less talk more listening.
For those of you who have NO IDEA of the history of what led up to the first Iraq war, and ultimately the second.. watch this flash.. I dont wonder why Saddam became a bit paranoid of and beligerant to the global community.. he wa backed into a corner.

Seriously.. watch it..
I wish more people would take the time to learn that history.
What good would it do? Somebody will just say,"Well, at least we are trying to do something now to redress our past mistakes." Or, "Clinton didn't do anything about it either."Or,"Yeah....but there are other countries that do much worse things.Or,"My country....right or wrong."And on and on and on-that's why it doesn't change, and history keeps repeating itself-we never learn. And we continue to play these games which unfortunately cause so much death and suffering to those who are but pawns in game which they have little control over.I'm reminded of the missonaries murdered by right wing death squads in Central and South America-we're not going to make a fuss over their deaths because they were pro union and suspected communists-Missionaries aren't good for business.
Every person that thinks about that history represents some sort of hope that things will eventually change though, Buford. Even if only 1 out of 100 actually comes to the conclusion that things have to start changing, then things have gotten 1% better.
No, I mean what I said. According to the story you posted it also appears that I was right about the new Spanish government being willing to fight terrorism.

The article on the back page of this week's Macleans provides the same discussion of the events leading up to the Spanish election as the article in The Nation, contained in Rev's link.
