JBG: The U.S. never had to fight for their freedome or at least the way i see it. You would have all been nice happy Canadians but instead your people had to start a war and become known for your greed and violence.

no harm meant :)

Unlike Canada, our creation was a fight for freedom. In many respects, the Brits passed the baton of world leadership to the US. I believe that it is essential that the world leader be a relatively peace and liberty-loving country such as the US.

This "war" that the US "started" was to break the back of a violent death-cult that was fast turning the entire world into a blood-soaked, dangerous place.

I would like to call you a moron but that wouldnt be nice so I will first remind you that the U.S. is not exactly a peace loving country (on account that you guys start so many wars) and secondly I'm not sure you and I are talking about the same war. The war of 1812 was when the not yet then Americans tried to break away from Canada.

Please explain to me what you mean by this.

hello. im from new jersey near new york city. I am a firm believer that the country of the United States of America is built on greed, corruption, and lies. I greatly admire the country of canada, and it's peoples way of life. I plan on going to school in canad next year, for I am sick of our government, and how we stick our noses where they should not be. Canada is a great country which i admire greatly and hope one day to live. I will be posting on this website. Thank you. feel free to reply
F**K Bush sorry for the language

Ultimately the choice is yours, but I suggest that you consider more than “bush is a jerk” when making it. Bush will not be president forever, and likewise our government is likely to change in the next few years as well. You may find that Canada no longer reflects you personal views. That being said, Canada is a great place. The people mostly kind and giving, and I have never been to a place that wasn’t beautiful in some regard.

P’S what school are you planning on attending?

Sgt Mills, can you explain what you mean about the War of 1812? I'm not getting what you are saying on this.

To my knowledge, the War of 1812 was against the Brits, not Canada. Apparently, they couldn't distinguish between American and Brit sailors, so they forcibly borrowed some of ours. Also, Britain couldn't quite reconcile themselves to the loss in the War of 1812 and it was not at all clear that they would not block westward expansion..

As far as not being a peaceloving country, would you like a neighbor for 3000 miles of border like Pakistan or Sudan, some failed Islamic state.

No question about it. We learned on Spetember 11 that their attitude was not exactly live and let live.

Wow and you are a professer at UofT! I am not the best speller or grammer king but i dont claim to be a professor either. so to respond is gonna be tough. I think I can pick out your points in your drug induced haze. We do not have an official language in the USA. So you can speak anything you want. Where as in Canada your goverment forces you to put french on everything. In AMerica I have the freedom to choose who will supply my healthcare. Try not paying your taxes. I can go to soup kitchens and eat all I want. So try making some valid points. And in some form of legible english.
