Must be the atmosphere.....

Just readmitted the dogs---including the neighbours---only 5 minutes and they were shivering and headed promptly to the stove. -12C and foggy---no wind-----stepped out on the porch and it was like swimming in cold water. No reports of the silly season on 401.

About Calgary drivers....I recall heading west from Calgary one dawn, on newyearsday ('97-98?) on the flats before Dead Mans Flats a black ice situation had 23 vehicles in the ditcvh or commedian. One van on it's side, the rest all SUVs (including 1 car) were on their roof. All kids in ski clothes......

Must be something they teach in Calgary in drivers ed.

My scanner's on and the cops are pleading for someone to at least issue a travel advisory.
She's a skating rink and accidents everywhere. visibility is about 100 feet,it's blowing and snowing.

They would shut it down if they could. 8)

Thanks for the idea Zig. I think I'll 'fire up' my scanner. I haven't used it for years.

For 22 years I spent 3 hours a day in the right hand front seat of one of those coaches going to work.
The driver and I talked about collisions on more then one occasion, basically he was going to die and so was I.
