Those signs that show your speed DO work. They put one on either end of town here and traffic has noticeably slowed down. You're lucky to get up to 30kmh these days.

Come on Boots, we all know that people who speed are way better drivers and have faster reflexes than those that don't.

   

I recall a study that more or less made the point that serious speeders (15mph to 20mph over the limit) have to pay closer attention to their driving than do average drivers who fiddle with the radio or chat on their phone while driving.

It makes sense because if you're driving that fast you have to pay attention to all of the traffic and simultaneously be on the lookout for the cops!

Force is related to half of the mass times the velocity squared. To double the force, you have to quadruple the mass - but, you only have to add very little velocity to double the force! Eg: going from 2km/h to 3km/h more than doubles the force. Going from 90km/h to 125 km/h also doubles the force!

Besides, most speeders are drunk, and you know that drunks always walk away from any accident, no matter how bad it looks.
