Have you ever seen how McNuggets are made?

Not always, but sometimes.

Do you have any actual reasons for making these claims?

If our European ancestors hadn't butchered animals for their skins, we wouldn't be here today.

Animal skins are pretty useless today and I laugh at the people who seek to be like cavemen.

Have you ever seen how hamburger, or chicken wings are 'made'? Meat production is generally not something people like to acknowledge.

The issue is CRUELTY here anyway.

I've seen videos of the way McDonalds, and ect. companies make their food. It's pretty nasty. I've also seen videos of how Grocery stores make their meat. How do I know this? Mu cousin works in the meat department. It's not pretty, but it is more civil than the way these massive companies do it.

The Hoser @ Fri Jun 24, 2005 8:20 pm

Well, I think that veel is pretty cruel. They take calves and tie them up for their entire life to make the meat really really tender, and then they butchet them. How cruel is that shit?

Civil as in civilized?

I am ashamed to be a part of this civilization in that case.

Nasty, but is it any more/less cruel?

I guess not. But at least it is not as brutal and vicious and heartless like the way McDonalds does it. That is what I was meaning to say.

Do you have to break everything down to "If it wasn't for X doing X then we wouldn't be here?" I think most of us are tired of hearing it.

Ah so when they bang the animal over the head hang it upside down and slit its throat they arent being brutal, vicious and heartless?

I used to have to cull my chickens by putting them in a feedbag and using a bull burdizzo (the clamp for castrating bulls). I didn't have the nice equipment which makes the process easier for McDonalds.

Everyone should have to see what eating animals means... what processes are involved... every once in a while, another person I know converts to vegetarianism becaused they've 'uncovered' the awful things people have been doing to animals for hundreds of years.

The Hoser @ Fri Jun 24, 2005 8:32 pm

Like CASTRATING THEM. That's enough to make me a vegitarian right there. Second thought... Nah, I like pork and beef to much.

Arctic_Menace @ Fri Jun 24, 2005 8:33 pm

In this post I shall end this:

It is vicious heartless, and butal. That is just a way of using more words to say cruel. IT IS WRONG NO MATTER HOW YOU TWIST IT. Global companies do it in a more brutal violent and cruel way than local grocery stores.

And you misunderstood my statement. Grocery stores in the wya they prepare their meat is nasty, but the way fast food chains do it is utterly revolting, and cruel.(i.e. bashing on the head, slitting of throat, stepping on them, etc.)

MacDonalds meat = made by cruel, violent and heartless means..(i.e. bashing on the head, slitting of throat, stepping on them, etc.)

Loeb meat = made the way meat should be made. NOT by clubbing their heads, or stepping on them.

A few points of interest:

--Your brain wouldn't be capable of comprehending the notion of animal cruelty if it weren't for humans eating meat. One of the main reasons humans progressed intellectually from the other primates is that we ate meat products.

--The world couldn't produce enough soy for everyone to be eating tofu instead of meat.
