Funny you know, I was never in to the drug sene. Drank like it was ammegadon. Smoked two packs a day. And had alot of straight sex. One day woke up and just quit smoking. At the same time quit drinking for one year. But not the sex thing.

Now I drink once and a while.

   

Must have been one rough night

   

After 35 years of smoking, I'm glad to say thats is now over 3 months that i have quit. It has not been easy.

   

I smoke two packs of Newports a day. It's stupid I agree. I won't buy cigarettes for kids just because that's when I started.

I won't give any excuses as to why I haven't quit, although the idea of setting the first of the year as a goal appeals to me.

   

Never have, never will.

   

Smoked 1-2 packs a day for 25 years. No adverse effects but was running 1/2 marathon a day for last 12. When number 3 was born I quit for good but slipped a lot. When 4 was born I'd pretty much put it away. However, still dream about it and in spite of the current jihad against tobacco use would pick the habit up again regardless of cost if it wasen't for the brood.

   

Sorry, but a woman who smokes is an immediate turn off. Lick an ash tray that's what it's like kissing a smoker.

   

It's all an addiction.. not being dumb or not.. why must everything be black and white all the time.....

   

Just like pot leads to hard drugs so to does smoking lead to this:

   

   

I don't even UNDERSTAND the point you were making with that post, SD - and I have to wonder if you are old enough to know what that Photo is about (the story behind it)?

IF YOU DO! - I would ask you how you can denigrate that Monk's death in such a cavalier, un-related fashion???

   

Ive been smoking since I was eleven, I keep smoking b/c I enjoy it, but I only smoke maybe 3 - 6 cigarettes a day. I don't smoke if Im dating someone that doesn't smoke... mmm Players Light Regular, a taste you can call your own ... what else are you supposed to do when yer driving truck for 14 hours a day... harvest definatly ups my smokes per day

   

Don't get eye strain buddy. Suicide as a form of protest ... gimme a break, there are better ways of getting your point across. I can 'denigrate' it, because it was a pointless and foolish act that served no purpose other than creating a sensation at the time. Did it stop a war? No The war's been over for 30+ years, do you still get upset over Salem and Joan of Arc too?

   

uhhh what the hell... are you talkin to me? Im sorry maybe its late and Im tired but Im having a hard time putting what you just said together here... I think that suicide should be declared "Death caused by ones self immediatly" cuz thats how Im gonna do it and Im gonna be smoking when I jump, shoot, hang, poison, overdose... whatever
