If I was planning a trip to Canada, would I have to have to adjust to the climate?

What parts of Canada are typically sunny all-year round?

uh....none actually..even in the desirable areas such as when you get as close to the west coast as possible...then youre looking at the most wonderful summers imaginable...but their winters...well in comparison to our frigid cold we recieve(cold spells of 40 below...sometimes for weeks on end and snow storms that completely shut down traffic) the west coasts winters are very mild...about 5 degrees above melting but constant rain..almost to the point where its starts having a very depressive effect..so canada is a very impressive country but i wont lie to you...there nothing to be envied come winter time

Southern Saskatchewan is the sunniest and hottest but one of the colder places in the winter especially between Christmas and February .Snow boarding would have to be done by Skidoo and tow rope because its very flat and no trees to run into

Winnipeg gets a little more sun than Phoenix most years. A lot of that is during the winter when it's cold though.

and we live in igloos and drive dog sleds...it's dark 6 months out of the year........

It probably will be in the far north of Canada near the Arctic Circle.

You'd have 24 hours of daylight each day in the summer and 24 hours of darkness each day in the winter, which would be pretty depressing.

With global warming things are getting much better, though. Wintertime moose trapping is nowhere near as arduous as it once was and I find I'm wearing my furs less and less with each passing year.

Good topic - I'll come back after supper: Blubber and pemmican pie. Mmmmm... [eat]

Blubber? Whale or seal...... ever since the damn europeans started bitching about the seal hunt, Iève had a bitch of a time getting good quality seal blubber.

Yeah, just blame it on the Europeans.

Countries throughout the world have condemned Canada for its cruel seal hunts. The United States has even banned seal products from Canada.

newfette @ Sat Jun 16, 2007 9:59 am

the seal hunt isn't that cruel.. and the US needs to pull the stick our of their ass

LightStarr @ Sat Jun 16, 2007 10:29 am

Agreed Newfette. Stupid Seals. Screw Mcartney!

The weather varies a lot. Here in Saint John, we get mild weather during the winter but if you head inland even a little its snow for days. As for sunny all year, I don't think anywhere would ever be sunny all year roud. I mean it does rain and get cloudy eh?

I guess we could always round the seals up and dump them on the coast of the UK and the continent.

LightStarr @ Sat Jun 16, 2007 10:33 am

At that point they would be crying for our clubs.

Yeah, and our seal-rescuer Leny 't Hart will rescue them all and take them in in Pieterburen, and we can pay for it from tax money...

Please, keep them where they are now. :P

I think what it all really boild down to is people who dont know the full situation and see one little part they dont agree with and instead of asking questions and trying to fully understand what's happening that just fly off the handle and cause stir up a lot of crap that's really nothing more then smoke and mirrors.

wow thats a run on sentence.. ha ha

I think Danny Williams handeled himself brilliantly with that whole situation. now if he can settle this shit with harper he will easily become newfoundland's Ralph Klein
