I joined to connect with friends, not because everyone is doing it. However that does add a benefit. I have been able to connect with people I haven't seen in over 20 years. It's like a reunion on there.

   

Peers are those around me, not necessarily my friends.

   

I have no one I wish to connect with, so it doesn't really matter

I found that anyone worth keeping in contact with, over the past 20 yrs, I've done so, the rest I've outgrown any commonality we shared. When I'm home I run into them and sometimes we sit for a cofffee or a bite , or sometimes it's a brief talk and that's about all I need to share or can.

Why? Because I don't want to talk to people from my old highschool that I don't already?

I agree Shep the friends I have around me are the ones I talk to. If i haven't talked to you in a number of years there's usually a reason for that. I have friends that go on facebook and it confuses the hell out of me. They will be all excited"i was talking to so and so" . I'm usually thinking ok you said ten words to them all through high school. Like I said confuses the hell out of me.

   

Anti-social ??? Why is it anti-social to not go looking to talk to people you didn't give a damn about in the first place? I kind of look at it as hypocritical.

   

Who the hell does that? Why would you talk to someone on there you didn't talk to before? WTF? I talk to people I was friends with and have lost contact with, or don't live near anymore.

   

Yep. I already have all the people I would want to talk to on my msn. The rest never liked me so what do I care?

   

Suppose, I haven't moved yet. I don't have any friends I lost contact with. The ones I did, I did so for a reason.

   

Geeze you guys have a lot of excuses not to join a simple website. Joining CKA wasn't to conformist for you was it?
