Doc, Obviously with 18,000 police on duty at various times, mistakes were made. But the knife was in from the media before police deployed.
The OIPRD have an agenda which doesn't include seeing things from both sides. Having lived through the training and the event and actually being there, my viewpoint differs somewhat from the media, the forum warriors and the OIPRD. It is very illuminating to see the lies and the half-truths being propogated by the media though.

Looks like Blair is giving in to public pressure and finally doing the right thing. I hope they don't just scapegoat the front line guys tho, but really look at the people in charge.

Even best trained proffesional cops will do few illegal things during things like that. It's unreal to catch idiot with axe and crazy eyes without putting few bruises on him.
