Off of the top of my head ...I would hazzard to guess breastfeeding had something to do with it.
No, the 10 year old girl sucking on the mothers breast.

I wonder if there would be any problems if it were her 8 yr old son still breast feeding ?

that is a very interesting question.

I breast feed my second son. I did it cause I have a lot of allergies and they say that breastfeeding will help against the allergies. I figured it was worth a shot to try and prevent him from going through the same hell that I go through each year.
I had mixed feelings about doing it. I was really concerned that it might feel good, face it, when a man does it, it feels good. But holy crap was I wrong. It hurt like a bitch. No matter what I did it hurt. I cried when I knew he needed to be fed.
But the one thing I dont get is why people do this in public????????
They say it is a great bonding time between mom and baby. Well should that bonding time not be privet? Lets face it, breast feeding makes a lot of people feel uncomfortable.
And quit frankly I dont think other peoples young kids need to see your tits in public.
Just my thoughts!
You were really concerned that it would feel good? Uh....maybe it's suppose to and maybe for a reason. To the rest of your comments, I think you have issues. There's a difference between flaunting it and feeding your child. I don't think God has a problem with it either.

How odd ....I often think that about you. I guess thats what make the world such an interesting place, everyone has different opinions ...and they are allowed to.

Can a woman produce milk if she is not pregnant?
Lactation without pregnancy
Although it is not widely known in developed countries, women who have never been pregnant are sometimes able to stimulate lactation sufficient to breastfeed. This is called "induced lactation", while a woman who has lactated before and re-starts is said to "relactate". If the nipples are stimulated as in breastfeeding for a while (such as by a breast pump or actual suckling), eventually the breasts will begin to produce milk which can be used to feed a baby. Once established, lactation adjusts to demand. For this reason, adoptive mothers, usually initially in conjunction with some form of supplementation, such as a supplemental nursing system, are able to breastfeed their infants and young children. There is thought to be little or no difference in milk composition whether lactation is induced or a result of pregnancy. Rare accounts of male lactation (as distinct from galactorrhea) exist in the medical literature.
Some couples may choose to induce lactation as a solely sexual practice.
Additionally, some drugs, primarily atypical antipsychotics such as Risperdal, may cause lactation in both women and men.
..... interesting.

I am still trying to figure out what my issues are. Atleast I am honest and you can't tell me that there is not a woman out there that before they ever breast fed, wondered what it would feel like. And for most women they only have one expeprience to try and relate it to...............talk to me when you can breast feed!
Oh, the British...

Its not that I am totaly against breast feeding in public. Yes Lil there are discreat ways of doing it. I just dont like the woman how let it hang out and stuff. Not only do I not want to see it hanging out, but try and have a little respect for your child.
Like I said, even though my experience with my son was not a good one, I would do it again if I were to ever be down that path (which for the record will never happen). I would encourage all new mothers to give it a go at first. It is the best start for your child. And even if you cant or dont want to breast feed, you can pump and freeze the stuff. It has a freezer life of almost forever. And that way the baby still gets the good stuff.

lily lily:
Regarding freezer life - it doesn't need to sit in there forever. Any excess milk can be donated to a local milk bank. In Vancouver, it's at Women's Hospital.
Are you serious? I had no idea that they had that kind of thing. That is awsome. But is very womans breast milk the same? Would my milk give your child the same antibodies and stuff?
Interesting stuff.. breastmilk.
I prefer the litre jugs. Why there are so many different containers is mind boggling.
