Well 2 weeks turned into a month, and then I went to Wabasca for a bit, and most recently waqs running heavy equipment on a road crew twinning Hyway 43 near Mayerthorpe Ab. so here are a few more pics of the stuff im doing... This truck is what I use to move the D-10 dozer from site to site and also the super b belly dump used to spread clay on the road bed we are buildiing...

In the above pics, in the 9axlenite.jpg where im standing is where the trailer splits and we drive the equipment onto it then put it back together to move... In the belly dump pic, its a super-b train set up and as im driving in the area we need the clay I opne the belly doors on the trailers while moving and it dumps the clay along a 100 m stretch so the the grader can spead it and then the packers pack it down..

Highlander.. awesome pics.. I am interested in relocating someday, and love seeing other parts of the country.

As for that truck.. I have to wait to meet up with a gal who carpools with me in a neighbouring town. I have watched many times trucks transporting these HUGE tubes.. or tanks..I dunno what they are.. but there's no way in hell the truck could swing the corner, so a man in a pick up with a radio hops out and unhooks someting about mid trailer, allowing the trailer to split and turn, and then when they get around the corner he hops back out and reconnects the trailer. Fascinating.. and I never knew that such a truck existed.

I used to hate those drop decks.(freakin leaky airbags) :? Your the biggest thing on the road when jeeped up like that though.

The airstrip I worked on last month was all done with a d7,wish I had a 10,and a grader. Was still spreading the crush out when the first plane landed on it.Let me know if you see an old dozer with the words "chinook pipeline" on the side. The old boss had one go missing last time in Wabasca, never did find it. :o

Might be up in that neck of the woods next week. Allmost went up 2 weeks ago to run finish cat for some outfit(cjb?) but changed my mind. If I go I'll look you up and buy you a beer. You hear tell of camp Chimchaga up there? Could spend the winter there if I want to starting december or freeze up.

Well ive started again this time in Ft Saskatchewan closer to home running double dumps, thats driving a big dump box and also pulling another full sized trailer behind me too.. If ziggy will answer his PM's I think I have a job for him too running a grader they're looking for a good finishing operator and he could get around 30-40 /hr plus they pay hotel and meals.. Whooooo baby.. After 88 hour in 2 weeks they pay everyting as sub so no taxes.. A guy can hit that number of hours in6-7 dqays so that leaves 7 days earning tax free money .... Any ways ill keep ya posted with new pics as soon as I get the chance..

iM BACK AT THE METAL RECYCLING PLANT AGAIN DRIVING END DUMP AND RUNNING EQUIPMENT HERE A FEW PICS, STARTING WITH THE WEATHER i HAD TODAY RUNNING NORTH OF EDMONTON
Ok the pics are as follows
Xmas Truck Thats my frieghtliner that I decorated with a Xmas bear..Next is the view from the cat magnet/grapple I run to load steel in the end dump to got o the steel mill You can get an idea of the height im sitting at by looking at the rail car just in front.. The cab im in is about20 feet off the ground. The pics were taken from the operators seat.. The 2 controls you see in front are to run the tracks to move the crane around.. The controls to operate the crane are in each arm rest and are pistol grip types.. The last one was taken today when I was driving north of Edmonton to deliver stuff to a plant,, Fog ice mist and freezing rain its about minus 16 today
