Terri Schiavo has passed on
Regardless of politics, loosing a child is the hardest thing a person will face. I would like to express my deepest sympathies to Terri’s parents.

Sad story. She lasted for thirteen days, probably longer than anyone expected.
WTF!?! I just read that Terri's parents were barred from being at her side in her final hours! I'm floored by the callousness of her husband!

As sad as it is, it was probably either her parents, or him, who would be at her side when she died, considering their relations.

Liberals got their wish. She's now dead.
She wanted to live. Her parents held on to a miracle (which has happned before, Blind people regained sight, crippled people walked again and people got out of Comas after 20 years. Yet Liberals really had it in for her.
I'm pretty sure the champaign bottles are being popped open now in Democrat circles, but know this, the American poeple now know the cruelty of the Liberal-Left. You guys won't be back in power for at least 30 years after this.
Trying to use this to score some political points, Godz? Pitiful...

You're probably right, Johnny. Considering the bad blood between Schiavo and Terri's parents it would have been extremely difficult for them to be in the same room together. Still, I'm disappointed that Schiavo lacked the decency to set aside his ego and show some empathy for her parents.
Like xerxes suggested, it's a dismal, ugly ending to a very sad story.

So God bless Terri Schiavo. I think the best prayer and most loving act we could do for her right now, is to just let her alone. Let her family alone. Turn off the cameras. Pack up the protest signs and go home. Get out of the pulpit and get out into the streets and care for all the other children of God who are so often conveniently forgotten by the so-called champions of "the culture of life."
In life, in death, may Terri just rest in peace.
I can understand a parents need to do anything for their child but after everything that was said and done to Terry's husband I think they should be glad they got to see her at all.

I can understand her husbands point in all this too. As a parent I would do everything in my power to stop it, but as a husband, knowing what my wife wants in a situation like this, I'd do everything I could to see it realized. Terrible for everyone all around. I hope to never have to face something like that.
R.I.P. Mrs. Schiavo.
This is a sad event, but my fellow yankee is onto something. Her death has become a political tool and a spectacle paraded around in front of us for the last two weeks.
Regardless of circumstances, nobody's death should be subject to this treatment.

From what I've heard and read, her husband was only such in writing. Apparently he has children with a girlfriend who were born after Terri slipped into her coma and anything he has to say about Terri's wishes is pure hearsay. Her parents offered him a divorce without any consequence, financial or otherwise, and to take custody of Terri. Without a living will, her true wishes are unclear. When in doubt, a path that favors life should be taken.

Yup it's always the liberals. You people always need to put a name to your hate.

I don't see how "you people" is any better than a specific name.
And it's not always the liberals. Sometimes it's the religious right. Sometimes it's some kook fringe extremists. But this time, it was the liberals.
