See, if you smoked more weed like us, you'd be on the same messed up frequency that we are. ;)

651

Didn't you read my hint?

I did. But I chose 651 instead, because I assumed your hint was a herring to throw us off the real number you were thinking of: 651.

I see what you did there. 8O

Cannabis complaints in Edmonton puny compared to tobacco, report shows

The 'cannabis apocalypse' expected by city administration hasn't happened

The sight and smell of cannabis is responsible for a tiny fraction of smoking complaints since being legalized in October 2018, a new City of Edmonton report shows.

Between October 2018 and April 2019, city bylaw officers gave out six tickets for infractions related to cannabis, compared to 231 tickets for infractions related to tobacco, according to the report that will go to the community and public services committee meeting on July 10.

Coun. Scott McKeen said he's not surprised.

When the city started talking about adjusting bylaws to prepare for legalized recreational cannabis in October 2018, McKeen didn't expect a noticeable change in use or behaviour.

McKeen said city administration was instead preparing for the "cannabis apocalypse" or "reefer madness."

"I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so," McKeen said on Thursday.

How black pepper sedates marijuana paranoia, according to Neil Young and science

. . .

No, Young’s lyrics won’t pacify your panic after smoking too much weed. Instead, you’d have to listen to a 2014 Howard Stern interview, in which Stern confessed to not smoking marijuana as “it makes [him] paranoid.”

“Try black pepper balls if you get paranoid. Just chew two or three pieces,” Young responded. “I just found this out myself. Try it.”

. . .

Basically, terpenes can affect the physiological sensations you experience from marijuana. Eating a mango, for example, 45 minutes or an hour before a smoking session will guarantee the THC high stays with you longer. That’s because mangoes contain myrcene, a terpene also found in cannabis that expands the maximum saturation levels in your endocannabinoid receptors.

According to Cannabis Digest, these different terpenes can produce different adjunctive effects. “Anecdotal evidence suggests that the terpene alpha-pinene is alerting, limonene is “sunshine-y,” and beta-myrcene is sedating,” writes Cannabis Digest’s Owen Smith.

Guess where alpha-pinene is predominant? That’d be black peppercorn. As the authors of “Taming THC” explain, pinene acts as “a potent inhibitor” to a THC-high run rampant. Put simply, the terpenes in black pepper work synergistically with THC to create a calming, therapeutic effect. Still not getting it? How about this? Ingesting black pepper tells your THC-high brain to chill the eff out.

Hmm no wonder we all used to love smoking up and then going for a Szechuan pig out!

Yes, even when I use CBD only products without THC. [huh].

But I meant from the article:

I wanted to end it all last night and decided overdosing on cannabis would be the best way to go. :(

I was able to get 100 joints, got my lighter out and lit up the first one... but before even starting on #5 I'd lost my lighter, ordered a pizza, snuggled with my cat and fell asleep.

I'm going with 'no'. If I learnt anything these last months, it's "do not eat spicy food while high". It amplifies the spicy, and makes it seem to last forever. Not pleasant, as I love spicy food.

Wow that could be turned into a huge ad campaign slogan. "Want to savor your food for a longer time? Do like we do and get high first then sit back and enjoy that burst of flavor each bite. It will last forever"
