Yeah they call me almost every other day, on a number not associated with my amazon account.
Same with VISA to tell me about the iPhone someone ordered for $1499 on my nonexistent Visa card.
Haven't been threatened with jail by the CRA for a while, though.

   

I could really do without all these little fucking flies that buzz around, get caught in my eye, and kamikaze into my wine.

   

Fucking fruit flies to that to me, and my wine.

   

I've smacked 50 of the fuckers, but the keep coming.

   

Put a bit of wine in a glass and leave it on the counter... I think I found at least 50 of the dead fuckers at the bottom of the glass a few hours later.

   

I have two little containers of wine vinegar and two sticky strips. And they are full. Don't want to waste good wine on flies.

The rest must be what escapes all the traps, that's why they keep rising from the fucking dead.

   

I just get the constant fucking calls from "UPS" or "Fedex", sometimes in English but more often in Mandarin or Cantonese. Random numbers come up on call display from seemingly local ones or 1-800 or "United States". I never answer them and the robot will leave a message that, if in English, tells me they keep trying to deliver a parcel but no one is there to sign it. So fucking annoying.

   

I hate those fake caller IDs. One day my landline displayed that my own number was calling.
Picked up to scream at them, heard the click and delay of the robo recording and just hung up.
The fucking UPS and Fedex attempted delivery is only in my email every other day. They don't serve here, so I set mail filter "If subject = UPS Fedex then >Trash

   

Feeling really fucking satisfied. Spent 2 weeks crawling through dirty attics, 40' in the air on a scissor lift, running hundreds of meters of cable. My back is fucking spasming. My feet fucking hurt. My shoulders ache, my arms are all cut up.

But after crimping 40+ cable cat6 connectors, all 24 (4 wireless) security cameras logged on the first time. One needed a re-crimp, and one wireless needed a power supply.

Spent most of today configuring a VPN. Tomorrow I have to fucking find the typo I made in the configuration. But a win is a win.

   

Everyone is too fucking stressed out these days. It reminds me of the early covid days more than 3 fucking years ago when the shit was hitting the fan and people were going nuts. I've just been getting used to going mask-free, yes even at work, and not stressing about that anymore and now people are going nuts about everything else, especially prices of everything. Too much shit going on all over the fucking world as well and too much focus on shit that doesn't fucking matter really. We're all in the same fucking boat and just have to ride it out best we can.

   

Fuck, the latest gang-banger shooting happened not far away from where I live yesterday afternoon.

   

I turn 70 in a few weeks, is it any wonder I turned down a job to install cameras POS terminals and an wireless mesh for a new restaurant in an older hotel?
Been treated like an utter jerk for doing so, heard 'lazy' and 'unreliable' tossed about on the grapevine. "He used to do that stuff every day"... like in the 1990s

   

How come when you see cheese strings on sale, it's because the packaging line fucked up and melted the tear-away part all the way to the very end? So you need a razor knife to open it. Fuck!
